Time flies when you talk at lightning speed!
Sixteen years ago, The WB premiered a little show called Gilmore Girls: a quaint, mother-daughter comedy that would eventually run for seven seasons and become a pop culture classic.
To celebrate the show's Sweet 16, the streaming service released a nostalgic featurette that shows the cast reflecting on their favorite moments from the first seven seasons, including Scott Patterson (Luke), Jared Padalecki (Dean), Keiko Agena (Lane), and Milo Ventimiglia (Jess)!
Of course, we also get to hear from Lorelai and Rory themselves, who "never imagined that we'd be able to come back." Well, believe it, girls!
Ch-ch-check out the clip (below) to see the cast tell their fondest memories — and see the Gilmore Girls return to the small screen November 25 on Netflix!
Though we got to watch the Wrecking Ball singer chat it up and play some games, what we didn't see was Gilmore Girls alum and star of the new hit This Is Us Milo Ventimiglia strip down for charity!
The 39-year-old stud swung by Ellen and talked it up with Miz Cyrus about his freshman NBC drama before stripping down and getting in the Splash Tank to help support Breast Cancer Awareness Month! As you may know, DeGeneres teamed up with Ulta Beauty and for EVERY celeb soaked in the tank this month, they'll donate $10k toward breast cancer research!
Ch-ch-check out Milo strip down for a good cause (below) as he soaks his '70s 'stache, along with the rest of his hot bod!
Batman v Superman? Forget that!
The real fight dividing fandom is Dean v Jess, AKA Jared Padalecki v Milo Ventimiglia!
The two Stars Hollow hotties both blew their shots with Rory Gilmore back in the day, but now they've got another chance… maybe…
Monday brought us a treat from the set of the VERY much anticipated Gilmore Girls revival, when Padalecki and Ventimiglia decided to go toe-to-toe debating who would win the Batman v Superman battle.
…and incidentally revealed to fans our first look at the older Dean and Jess!!!
The actors took part in a video uploaded to the show's official Facebook page to ostensibly talk about the new movie… but really, all it gave us was nostalgia and those heart eyes emojis… because we just saw them in character, and on set!!!
The rivalry for Alexis Bledel's heart is back, baby!!!
Ch-ch-check out the superhero debate on the classic TV set (below):
Since the news broke, we've discovered some info about the series like the fact that there will be four episodes that will essentially be mini movies — each taking place over a different season.
Let's be honest though, the thing we REALLY care about is which actors are returning for the reunion!
The whole gang's back together!
When the streaming service officially picked up the 4-episode reboot two weeks ago, it was originally reported that only Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn, and Keiko Agena had agreed to move back to Stars Hollow.
That's because Jared Padalecki, David Sutcliffe, and Sutton Foster are all signed on for the 90-minute mini-movies!
Jared famously portrayed
Thank god for Amy Sherman-Palladino!
We were overjoyed when we first heard rumblings that the beloved series Gilmore Girls would be coming back. And now we're super stoked because one of Rory's old love interests is DEFINITELY returning to the Netflix revival!
On Wednesday, the streaming site confirmed that Milo Ventimiglia would be reprising his role as Jess Mariano, AKA the brunette beauty's former flame, Luke's nephew, and bad boy-turned-author.
The gorgeous guy took to Twitter to share the good news by posting a picture of his script! Ch-ch-check it out (below)!
This is too much for us to handle.
While there have been conflicting reports regarding the structure of the WB classic's new episodes, we are happy to say we now know which of the original cast members are already signed on for the revival!
Obviously, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel will be returning to Stars Hollow as Lorelai and Rory Gilmore — there wouldn't even be a show to reboot without them — but they'll reportedly be joined by Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn, and Keiko Agena!
Plus, we're hearing that Amy Sherman-Palladino and David Palladino will both be back on as executive producers and writers with Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions.
While we'll have to pour one out for the absences of Melissa McCarthy, Jared Padalecki, Liza Weil, Milo Ventimiglia, and Matt Czuchry, we guess it's a good thing they're too busy with their current gigs to take a break.
Are U excited to see Lorelai, Rory, Luke, Emily, Kirk, and Lane back on your
television computer screens in late 2016??
P.S. Rest in peace, Edward Herrmann. We'll miss ya.
