America Ferrera And Julia Stiles Are Hitting The London Stage!

america-ferrera-and-julia-stiles-to-star-in-london-premiere-of-reasons-to-be-pretty

Amazing!

We love them both, so we'd definitely want to see this!

America Ferrera and Julia Stiles are set to star in Neil LaBute's Tony award-nominated play reasons to be pretty on the London stage!

According to producer Howard Panter, the show is "about people being drawn to the superficial, and how we all get seduced by the surface - and how that can be a thorny path."

LaBute's material is generally pretty dark and effed up, so we're curious to see how Stiles and Ferrera would tackle their roles! It would certainly be a change of pace for both of them.

Well, not Stiles - she's on Dexter right now - but you get what we mean!

What do U think?? Are these good casting choices??

Ugly Betty: The Movie???

americaferrerae.jpg

Could an Ugly Betty movie be on the horizon?

Here’s what America Ferrera’s had to say about the possibility of an Ugly Betty movie:

No news on it! I think that the rumor is well and alive — it’s always a possibility I suppose! But I don’t know about any plans.

At the very least, it sounds like Ferrera is open to the idea.

In the meanwhile, for those of us who need our America fix, she’ll be taking over hosting duties on the ninth season of PBS’s docu-series Independent Lens.

For those of us who like our America less serious, we seem to recall two separate movies about sisterhoods and traveling pants, both of which feature Ms. Ferrera.

Would U like to see an Ugly Betty movie?

Yes! Ugly Betty Movie Possibly In The Works!!

ugly_betty_ver3jb.jpg

Well this would certainly be exciting!

For everyone who was devastated with Ugly Betty's disappointing premature cancellation, rest easy tonight! According to Anna Ortiz, who plays Hilda, there could be a big screen adaptation in no time!

She says:

“There may be a movie. It’s something that we’ve been talking about and it’s something that [Ugly Betty star] America Ferrera would really love to do. That woman has so much determination that I can’t imagine anything she puts her mind to not getting done. Ugly Betty has been the most important thing I’ve ever done, easily. I was able to do more with one character than I can ever imagine doing again — Hilda was hilariously funny and emotionally deep.”

Yes!

Make it happen!!

What do U think?? Would U go see an Ugly Betty flick??

America, The Producer!

Bye-bye Ugly Betty! Hola telenovelas!

America Ferrera, free from her gig as Betty Suarez, is preparing to get involved in a new project but in a different way.

America will take on the role of executive producer for a telenovela in development called Pedro & Maria. The project, backed by MTV and Electus, will be a modern-day, bilingual, interactive version of Romeo & Juliet. Each week audiences will tune in and then go online to vote what will happen next with the characters and plot.

It's "Create Your Own Adventures", TV edition! Interesting!

Could have some promise, until the novelty wears off!

Thoughts?
