The race is on!!!

Between Oprah and Barbara Walters, the challenge to secure Pippa Middleton's first U.S. interview is HEATED!!!

With Duchess Catherine's lil sis predicted as the new "it" girl of 2012, it's no wonder how both interview queens are "hot on the case."

If she's not, it will be a VERY bold and telling move on her part!

It's been nearly six years since Star Jones announced live on The View that she was leaving the show for good, without giving anyone any warning of her departure, least of all Barbara Walters. But bygones seem to be bygones as the big news today is that Star is returning to the show in February.

The former co-host is set to join the ladies to promote the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign, which aims to raise awareness about heart disease in women. As both Star and Barbara both underwent open heart surgery two years ago, it's an issue they both feel strongly about. Perhaps this is the thread that pulled these two back together!

We say, leave the past in the past … but if these two can make nice, anything is possible! Maybe they'll have Rosie O'Donnell on the show and make it a trifecta!

Don't be too hard on URself, Katherine! We're sure some people have liked the movies you've done since U left the show! There have gotta be some Life as We Know It fans out there!

Last week, we heard Katherine Heigl open up about her desire to return to her role of Dr. Izzie on Grey's Anatomy.

Now, she's spoke up further about her desire to return to Seattle Grace…and her regrets on leaving the show.

As of this week, The Today Show celebrates its 60th anniversary on the air. If we pretend like we could do the math, that's like over 100K hours of television!

An achievement like that deserved a big blow out, which is exactly what it got at the Edison Ballroom in New York City. The biggest names in news were there, many of which are alum of the show over the years. We're talking everyone from Tom Brokaw to Matt Lauer, Ann Curry to Meredith Vieira to the likes of Hugh Downs and Jane Pauley!

Oh, and least us Willard Scott, who's still kicking on the show for over 20 years! Yeah man!

Leave it to Whoopi Goldberg to be the voice of reason.

Yesterday, the ladies of The View took time during their Hot Topics panel to discuss the use of slavery in a math question for 3rd graders! The story out of Georgie BLEW up in the news this week as the school's acceptance of such racist practices has fueled a lot of anger from parents, students and people nationwide.

It looks like Oprah or Barbara Walters may get to kick off the New Year with a bang disgusting child molester sitting across from them.

According to defense attorney Joe Amendola, Jerry Sandusky and his naive wife Dottie are "considering speaking together publicly after the new year."

They're going big or going home though and are currently deciding between "Oprah Winfrey, 60 Minutes, Rock Center or Barbara Walters."

What about Perez?! Ha!

Just kidding. We wouldn't even want to be in the same room with that creep.

Back in May, Whoopi Goldberg farted on Barbara Walters on The View…and we're STILL laughing about it!

Today, our gurl once again let one rip on air (above), and she TOTALLY kept her cool!

Good for her! She's an inspiration to everyone out there who gets embarrassed when they fart!

It's a perfectly natural part of life, and we give Whoopi credit for embracing that fact!

Loves it!

When you come this close to beating a Michael Jackson record instead of just matching it, OF COURSE you get MTV's Artist of the Year!

Because you deserve it! And Katy Perry absolutely does!

Just think of how many of her songs got stuck in your head this year. Crazy!

Not only that, but she totally made Barbara Walter's 18th annual Top 10 List this year too!

All of those things added with icing that she's just charming and humble as all hell, and you've got one person who earned this recognition!

Congrats, Katy Perry! Let's see what you've got in 2012!
