Congratulations, Barbara, Elizabitch, Joy, Shari, and Whoppi. According to Variety, The View has finally taken the 'week's most watched show in daytime' crown. The blabfest averaged 4.7 million viewers for the week ended Sunday. It scored its biggest aud ever (6.2 million) on November 5th, the Wednesday after the election. The ladies of The View have reached new heights! According to the just-released ratings, the week of October 20th was its most-watched week (4.24 million in total viewers) in show history! This is - in part - thanks to controversial TV pundit Bill O'Reilly's appearance on October 20th. The Bill O. show was one of its 10 most-watched shows historically. How will they keep ratings up post-elections? P.S. We gotta give big props to Elisabeth Hasselbeck. She's like the Sarah Palin of daytime TV! So who will it come down to on The View? Will Barbara Walters keep funny lady Joy Behar around or opt to keep the delusional Elisabeth Hasselbeck? That decision may have to be made soon! A new report in the Chicago Sun-Times claims that the tension between Behar and Elizabitch is getting unbearable. Apparently the two aren't speaking to each other, only when they're on air or a camera is present. It seems their screaming matches backstage have been escalating, primarily because of their very different views on the upcoming elections. And Hasselbeck is said to be furious at the fact that Joy has been doing impersonations of her from the Florida rally this past weekend, even wearing a shiteous green coat. Joy even tried to poke fun at Elizabitch by saying that it doesn't matter if Sarah Palin spends $150,000 on a shopping spree, because she said jokingly, "Elisabeth spends that much in a month!" But it seems Hasselbeck is growing tired of this and is complaining to producers and Walters. It's a tough choice, but, we say…. Keep Elisabeth! She's the only exciting thing on The View these days. Somehow Star Jones just can't get over the past. She'll mention The View or how badly she was treated whenever she ca! And just recently, Jones had an interview with Essense magazine where she reveals some more about her past job. If you recall, Star used to work at The View for nine years until her contract wasn't renewed back in 2006. But, she says that the other women on the show were very "hateful" towards her as she was leaving. However, Barbara Walters isn't taking any of that. In a response to Jones' remarks, Walters said, "Star had wonderful years with us on The View. And, I think The View made Star a star." Very true! Walters also said she wishes "her well." The View's token blonde Republican is apparently "really upset" about recent election discussions on the show. Though reportedly not as bad as the "Rosie era," Barbara Walters has called a little powwow with Elizabitch Hasselbeck, Whoopi Goldberg, and Joy Behar. Now, girls, play nice! If you'll recall, Elisabitch ended up in tears back in July after a heated discussion of the n-word during which Goldberg concluded that she and Hasselbeck "don't live in the same world." Former co-host and arch nemesis Rosie O'Donnell likened Elizabitch to Sexy Sarah as an "identical cousin…women who hunt in high heels." Meow! RoRo left the show earlier than planned after an on-air cat fight with Elizabitch, but she can't seem to stop talking smack! On The Martha Stewart Show, Rosie called Elizabitch "a little Republican" who scared her. There have also been recent reports that Hasselbeck may be leaving her role as a co-host on The View to host her own show on the Fox News Channel. Do it!
