Benji Madden was spotted in Los Angeles on Wednesday, looking a little…different.

Paris Hilton's former flame was seen driving his new car around town and was dressed in his workout gear.

And by the look of things, it seems Madden has been toning up!

On Thursday, the New York Daily News reported that The Hills star Audrina Patridge and Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend, Benji Madden, are romantically linked.

With little else to do besides look at the ceiling (is that cottage cheese up there or what?), Audrina took to her official blog to dispel the rumors and allow us all to sleep better tonight.

"I'm getting a lot of calls today about a story that ran in a New York paper saying that I am now in a "romantic" relationship with Benji Madden.

I find it highly amusing, since I haven't seen him since December. I think Benji is a sweetheart and we're good friends, but we are definitely NOT dating!

Just wanted to clear that up!

Benji Madden has upped his friendship with Audrina Patridge to "relationship" status in the last two weeks, the NY Daily News is reporting.

Paris Hilton and her ex-boyfriend, Benji Madden, were recently reunited to cohost a party at the Super Bowl.

While Paris was a special guest host at the Models and Bottles party Saturday night, Benji was busy deejaying.

And of the experience says Madden, "We're friends. I'm very happy…I'm focusing on work and I've got a lot going on."

Sources say Paris didn't even bother to interact with her ex, and she didn't stay too long either. Instead she left to go party at another club.

There she ran into Amanda Bynes' douche of an ex, Doug Reinhardt, and spywitnesses are saying the two were making out.

Could this be true?

Either way, it looks like Paris is definitely over Benji.

Looks like Daddy Spears and manager Larry Rudolph are trying to find a playmate for Britney Spears, or so the tabs would like us to believe.

The pair have reportedly compiled a list of potential suitors, which includes Chace Crawford, Jesse Metcalfe, and Golden Boy Michael Phelps.

Michael Don't-look-at-the-face Phelps? Really? Hasn't she already been through enough?

But it seems that the winner so far is Paris' freshly ex-ed Benji Madden, who expressed the most interest when Brit's handlers called around.

The pair allegedly went on a date, meeting for dinner at a Los Angeles hotel suite.

However, sources close to Britney and Paris reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Madden and Spears are not dating and have never even been on a date.

The recently dumped Benji Madden put on a cheery demeanor for the paparazzi stationed outside of his DCMA clothing store in LA on Thursday.

Heiress Paris Hilton may have stomped on his heart, but he's not bothered (or so he'd like us to think).

Wonder who will be his first rebound conquest.

As we mentioned earlier this week, Paris Hilton was spotted out on the town without her attached-at-the-hip boyfriend, Benji Madden. Instead, Paris bumped into her ex, Stavros Niarchos at a club in Miami Beach.

Well, there's been break-up buzz for a while. And, now, Star is confirming the news that the couple of almost a year have split.

According to an inside source, Paris has dumped Benji, apparently saying he's "too controlling" and that she needed her freedom back.

It seems the breakup took place this Monday. That same night Paris went out and partied with her sister Nicky and Nicky's boyfriend. And on Tuesday night Paris was again seen partying without Benji.

The insider adds, "Paris was fed up with Benji always telling her what to do and bossing her around. She couldn't take his overbearing ways anymore. It was stressing her out. He can be very aggressive and he was just too much trouble."

The source claims that Benji didn't take the breakup well. They say, "He fought for a second chance and asked if they could talk it out but Paris said she was done talking."

The nine month relationship didn't end overnight. The source says "They've had a lot of fights in the past. She felt she couldn't cut loose and party. He doesn't drink and doesn't think she should either. She felt too fenced in."

We're sure Star magazine's allegations that Benji cheated on Paris, two different times, didn't help. But it's ok. We kind of like the single and dating Paris better.

And on a good note, at least she wasn't stupid enough to get pregnant with his baby!
