Despite claiming to be drama-free, Carrie Underwood's recent anti-politics comments have garnered the little country crooner some negative attention.

Sweet Selenita responded to Carrie's statement that celebrities should not make public political endorsements with some disapproval.

"A lot of people do look up to certain celebrities and will follow in their footsteps," Gomez says, but with wisdom beyond her years, cautioned, "I think you just have to be aware of what you're saying."

Although the little Disney star is not yet old enough to vote, she was active in encouraging the under-18 crowd to educate themselves. She helped launch UR Vote Counts, which conducted a faux election for teens, with voting booths set up in malls.

And high schoolers all over elected Obama for president as well.

Selena observed, "I'm glad that people are getting involved with the election. This election has been the biggest with celebrities."

Which means that Carrie must have "lost respect" for names such a Steven Spielberg and Brad Pitt.

Carrie Underwood is swiftly tarnishing her goodie-two-shoes American Idol image with a bad case of foot-in-mouth syndrome.

In an interview with Elle, the singer insists that her now-infamous Tony Romo remark was taken out of context, and that she hasn't spoken with the football player - whom she was once linked with - since May.

She says, "I don’t think people realize that when you do an interview, the magazine comes out six months later. It was just something that was said in passing, and I would never mean to say anything to hurt anybody or to stir up anything, because I’m just not about drama."

Fellow Idol alum and pal Kellie Pickler is quick to defend Underwood with, "She’s so talented, and she’s sweet and beautiful—all in one package. For anyone to say anything bad about her—I think they’re jealous."

Jessica Simpson is probably jealous of her career!

Don't hate! Appreciate the different ways that people express themselves politically.

For goodness sake, this is America!

In a recent interview Underwood said, "I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate. It's saying that the American public isn't smart enough to make their own decisions. I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to."

We think that's an unfair statement, Carrie!

Why are you assuming to know where people are coming from when they voice their political opinions?

Jessica Simpson was being interviewed by a Nashville radio station The River yesterday and the Proactiv spokesperson was asked about Carrie Underwood's assertion to Allure magazine that Tony Romo (her ex and Simpson's current beau) still calls her.

Well, Jessica found Carrie's remarks laughable.

"Tony and I both laughed at that," says Simpson. "We got a chuckle out of it."

Jessica DEFINITELY knows Carrie is lying.

Last week in NYC, Jessica Simpson was reportedly mistaken for Tony Romo's ex-girlfriend Carrie Underwood in the lobby of her NYC hotel, according to OK! Magazine.

An eyewitness reports, “She (the Underwood fan) said she was her number-one fan from back in the Idol days. Jessica smiled politely and didn’t correct her, and she started to laugh when the girl asked how she was doing since her devastating split from Chace [Crawford].”

A friend of Jess' supposedly told the mag, “She wasn’t pleased that the girl had no clue who she was!”

Ouch!

Yesterday, we told you how Chace Crawford and Carrie Underwood recently broke up….VIA TEXT MESSAGE!

Well, it seems Chace isn't letting his split stop him for picking up chicks.

He's too pretty to sit around at home moping, especially if he was the douche doing the dumping!

Chace is currently shooting Gossip Girl with new cast member, Michelle Trachtenberg.

Turns out, people are spotting the two of them allegedly getting quite "cozy" - with reports of the two constantly flirting.

Friends of Trachtenberg tell us these reports are false and that she's happily dating someone else.

Idol beauty Carrie Underwood revealed to TV's Extra that her break up with Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford was done via text.

Underwood admitted, "It was completely mutual…We're both fine…We broke up over text so…It's like 'peace out. It just didn't work…And we both knew it didn't work and no hard feelings at all whatsoever."

The Globe (yeah, we know) is reporting a new celebrity love triangle. The players? Chace Crawford, Carrie Underwood and….JC Chasez.

The report claims that Chace and J.C. have been popping up at lots of places together since meeting last September in New York. They spent New Year's Eve partying side by side in Miami and both attended Elton John's Oscar party in Los Angeles. They also arrived at LAX together at the end of February.

Just recently, they were spotted 'pAArtying hard' at the Palms in Vegas.
