Anytime we see Carrie Underwood in anything other than a flouncy gown, it's like we're seeing her for the first time!
The singer wore an aquamarine Edition by Georges Chakra short suit to the CMT Music Awards in Nashville on Wednesday, and of course it was fully sequined.
It also had mesh panels along the shoulders and the sides of the shorts, because Carrie wouldn't be caught dead in just a regular old boring short suit.

Jimmy Choo peep toes, Swarovski clutch, and a bouncy blowout completed her look.

Rejoice! The pageant hair is GONE!
Carrie Underwood is sleek and stunning on the cover of Marie Claire's June issue, looking like a Southern belle who spent the last couple of years in New York.
Though still teased and voluminous, the singer's hair is much chicer than usual as she poses behind the wheel of a convertible in a pink and black Michael Kors tube dress.
The inside spread features ethereal, soft-focused shots of the 30-year-old in Giambattista Valli, Burberry Prorsum, and Oscar de la Renta.
And, no, the looks are definitely not a huge departure from signature Carrie style, but they're definitely easy on the eyes!

In an unusual move, Two Black Cadillacs singer ditched her usual prom princess look for a massive floral print Naeem Khan Resort gown.
We love us some flowers, but we're not sure wearing the entire bouquet was necessary.
A black Jimmy Choo clutch and David Yurman jewels were Miz Underwood's accessories of choice.

We are calling it now–it's officially spring!
Carrie Underwood was just the latest in a long line of celebs who've been spotted in florals and candy-sweet hues recently.
Joining Jessica Alba and Ke$ha in the flower brigade, the singer wore a hot pink shift dress featuring white daisies at the waistline in a promotional appearance at the Country to Country Festival in London on Wednesday.
She also trotted out her signature Miss America curls, fake lashes, and nude pumps.
Well, we could've guessed that without even seeing the pic! Ha!

The Southern belle is clearly saving the frou-frou gowns for the actual Grammys as she opted for a more laid-back outfit on this occasion.

Carrie wore a silky orange button-down with an orange-trim navy Diane von Furstenberg mini and gold glitter Stella McCartney heels.
Her tousled curls were also noticeably shorter than the last time we saw her.
We can't quite put our finger on it, but there's just something about this outfit that feels off.
