In a new interview, the all-grown-up Dakota Fanning confirms that she is indeed in talks to play Jane, the deadly Italian vampire in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, as we had previously reported.

Says Fanning, "I really hope that works out. I think it's too soon to tell right now, but it'd be really fun. I'm a huge fan."

She'll surely be the envy of her cheerleading buddies, should this work out!

Twilight will be getting some more "star" power for part two of the film franchise!

According to reports, set to play Volturi vampire Jane, opposite hottie Robert Pattinson in the upcoming sequel, will be Dakota Fanning.

The soon-to-be 15 year-old is said to be in talks to play the Italian bloodsucker in New Moon.

A source reveals that "There were no auditions. They just offered it to her outright, and now they're in negotiations."

Really? DAKOTA FANNING???? As a vampire?

New Moon is expected to start filming in Italy this March. The flick should be released in theaters this November.

Dakota Fanning's latest movie, Houndog, is still stirring up some controversy.

The film has just been pulled from 5,117 AMC theaters nationwide.

The reason?

Apparently there's too much criticism over Fanning's rape scene.

The movie is described as "a drama set in the American South, where a precocious, troubled girl (Fanning) finds a safe haven in the music and movement of Elvis Presley."

As of today, the flick premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival and has only been viewed in about 11 theaters since being released on September 19th.

Hounddoug was also nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.

However, theatre chain execs are facing numerous boycotts from family valuez groups since Fanning was only 12 when the scene was shot and many are finding it too hard to watch.

But they probably haven't even watched it! So how could you find it too hard to watch without actually watching it?????

With every large film festival, there's always celebs on the red carpet taking pictures and giving out autographs.

And when it comes to autographs, people take it seriously. Especially those crazed "professional" autograph collectors.

So, during the 2008 Toronto Film Festival, a survey was taken to find out who was the best and worst celeb autograph signers.

Ater some polling from the fans, photographers, festival volunteers and even the professional autograph seekers, the list was compiled.

And, topping off the list of best signers is Benicio Del Toro. It states, "The Che star was almost everywhere during his few days in Toronto - late nights and early mornings. But Del Toro never refused to sign. When one autograph collector mentioned that Benicio did 21 photos in a row at one stop for him - he was crowned our TIFF ‘08 signing champ."

Also on the best list was Rose McGowan, Kate Beckinsale, Dakota Fanning and Zac Efron who "signed up a storm at his premiere."

As for the list of the worst, Jimmy Page came in on top. "Disappointing for many, considering Page was the one autograph everybody wanted. Jimmy was at least nice and did explain to collectors - from the moment he landed in Toronto that he 'was not doing the autograph thing anymore. Kind of finished with that.' For his three days in Toronto - he basically stuck to his word and signed nothing. At least, almost nothing."

Among the rest of the worst on the red carpet for not signing, are Jessica Biel, Jennifer Aniston, Queen Latifah, John Malkovich, and Kiera Knightley.

Such a pretty little lady!

Dakota Fanning made quite an adult strut on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend.

The actress was in town to promote her new film, Secret Lives of Bees, co-starring dykon Queen Latifah.

Dakota seems to be growing out of those awkward teen years quite gracefully!
