Kylie Jenner may be one of the most sought after celebs on Instagram — but the Golden Globes was a whole other beast.
As we’ve been following, the Kylie Cosmetics founder received little more than a cold shoulder from Demi Moore at the coveted awards ceremony over the weekend. In footage captured from the event, The Substance star pretty much overlooked her to chat with everyone BUT Kylie at the A Complete Unknown table, including Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, and Timothée Chalamet. Yeesh. But Demi apparently wasn’t the only one who overlooked the entrepreneur…
According to The US Sun, several other stars came to visit their table including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Nicole Kidman, and Hugh Grant also similarly snubbed Kylie. Whether it was intentional or not remains to be determined, but it made the 27-year-old feel like a fish out of water:
“Kylie seemed very uncomfortable all night, just so tense and awkward most of the night. You’d see brief moments where she connected with Timothée or bonded with the girls at her table [Elle & Monica]. Those three really did to seem to have a fun time at that table together. But everyone was coming up constantly to talk to Elle and Timothée, no one knew who Kylie was and if they did, basically everyone didn’t acknowledge her.”
That’s SO awkward… We have a hard time believing they didn’t know who Kylie was. We mean, she’s one of the most followed people in the world. So it seems a bit more personal… Unless these movie stars all really did just unintentionally overlook her. Either way, it took a toll on her. The source added:
“Kylie tried to play off all the interactions but she seemed embarrassed and way out of her league. Very tense body language and overall this desperation to fit in with the room. Timothée did his best to include her but only so much he can do when he’s the most in-demand guy of the night and most others in the room don’t want anything to do with her.”
Poor girl… It’s not like she personally wronged all these people!
There was, however, one saving grace: Elle’s big sister Dakota Fanning, who was apparently over the moon to see her! The insider noted:
“The only person all night who got really excited to see Kylie was Dakota Fanning. She had a fangirl moment when she saw Kylie and they talked for a moment.”
The 30-year-old has been open about her love for reality TV, so it sounds like she was totally starstruck. We’re glad someone gave Ky some love!
