The United States of Drew!

Drew Barrymore is on the cover of the new Harpers Bazaar and the actress/activist spends A LOT of time talking about the upcoming election and the candidates.

Here are some HIGHlights!

Drew…..

On publicly pledging herself to a political party:
"It’s the first time I’ve really admitted I’m a Democrat.”

On supporting Barack Obama:
“His values…are my values.”

On the Obama campaign:
“What I want to do is work at the headquarters and do my part as a citizen.”

She continues, describing Obama as a:
“uniter and an engager. For example, when I heard him speak about a gay person never having to sit outside the hospital room with their loved one sick inside, I burst into tears because so many people I care about are homosexual and it was profound to have someone be sensitive to that. That’s the kind of world I want to live in, where we’re not holding our own principles in judgment above someone or against someone.”

On her mixed feelings about McCain:
“He is a good person and he does care, but he has voted against things that are shocking as far as people’s liberties and economic choices. I study everyone’s voting record because they say one thing and do another.”

On Sarah Palin:
“I think people realize the intention of the choice.”

On Hillary Clinton:
“It hurts me to see women so upset that she didn’t get in. Not voting because you’re angry? That won’t work.”

On her transformation since she turned 30:
“My priorities have changed so much. I’ve been single for months now, and I’ve turned my attention toward my passions, my friends, and the causes I believe in. I’ve learned to put myself second. I’ve had a couple fun, frolicky relationships, but really, I got out of a five-year relationship and I dated a few people here and there. Mostly it’s been about learning who I am, not through a man, but for myself. I’ve been spending time with my friends and doing more traveling with the U.N…and challenging myself at work. I’m so happy with where my priorities are right now.”

On the youth voting statistics:
“I’m impressed with young people’s awareness of the issues, but I don’t understand why their voting numbers are so low…That’s got to change.”

She continues:
“I can’t imagine why we all don’t want desperately to take care of each other. We need to be passionately inspired by the fact that we can take our environment and our country back.”

Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford hung out with Drew Barrymore at the Kings of Leon concert after-party in NYC on Tuesday night, but it was Westwick she ended up making out with.

Vanity Fair photographer Justin Bishop caught the two in the act.

Drew Barrymore, 33, has scored herself a Gossip Girl hottie!

Chace Crawford, 23, and the Charlie's Angels star seem to be dating.

The pair hit up the Saturday Night Live after-party together this past weekend.

And, they were out and about again on Monday night!

Drew and Chace were at the Kings of Leon concert in New York City and they made no attempt at hiding their relationship.

Eyewitnesses reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Barrymore and Crawford were making out in plain view at the Kings of Leon after-party.

What do U make of this new coupling????

Update: Our eyewitnesses must have been wasted…or clearly not Gossip Girl fans.

Us Weekly is reporting that Drew was making out with Chace's roommate and co-star Ed Westwick and not Crawford.

Could she have been making out with both???

Even though Kirsten Dunst denied being in a relationship with the Mac guy, Justin Long, In Touch Weekly is reporting that they've broken up.

An insider told the magazine, "They are taking some time off for now. Kirsten gets bored really easily and she needs a break from men right now. They are still both friends and will hang out."

Kiki probably has her eye on whoever Drew Barrymore is dating now.

She seems to love Drew's cast offs (i.e. Fabrizio Moretti, the Mac guy).

Does Kiki have Drew envy????

Before their breakup, Drew Barrymore cast then boyfriend Justin Long to appear in her feature directorial debut, a flick about roller derby called Whip It.

However, Long is said to be still so distraught over being dumped by Drew that he has dropped out of the roller derby comedy.

A friend of his says, "He couldn't stand working with her and not being with her. He's too upset. She dumped him. She was hot and cold. One minute she was in love with him and the next she wanted to break up with him. He is so distraught over the split that he dropped out of the movie."

Justin, we bet there are a lot of ladies out there who'll let you cry on their shoulder.

Just not Kiki's, k?

The guy Drew Barrymore dumped, actor Justin Long (the dude in the Mac commercials), is reportedly getting post-breakup 'comfort' from Kiki Drunkst.

An eyewitness reports that early Wednesday morning, "Justin was holding Kirsten's hand while walking around downtown NYC in the SoHo area. They stayed out all night and Kirsten was all over him and kept leaning in to kiss him."

Justin's 'friend' says that he and Drunkst are longtime good friends and that Kiki is merely consoling him through his breakup.

But a Kiki insider says, "She's always had a bit of a crush on Justin."

Sweet. If he can overlook the step down, looks he can probably get some easy, dirty, rebound sex!
