Drew Barrymore FINALLY Addresses That Awkward Moment When Martha Stewart Pushed Her Away During Touchy Interview!

Drew Barrymore is FINALLY talking about that awkward moment with Martha Stewart!

Back in November, the Charlie’s Angels star welcomed the cooking connoisseur on The Drew Barrymore Show, where they got to chatting about her cookbook. If you didn’t know, Drew famously has a very personal way of interviewing her guests — she likes to sit close and get a little touchy-feely. So much so it’s actually caused some controversy!

So, in an infamous moment when the host was caressing Martha’s arm, she asked what makes her “soft and gooey” on the inside — and the 83-year-old pushed her away and responded:

“You’re the wrong gender.”

Oof! As if she thought Drew was implying she could be the one to make her “soft and gooey”! The instantly-famous moment was the talk off the town for weeks, but the Blended star went radio silent on the moment… until now, that is!

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, the Never Been Kissed star joked about how she likes to be “pupil to pupil” with her guests, saying:

“I can’t actually control it — I got focus grouped when we launched and it was not good.”

LOLz!

Host Andy Cohen then asked about the Martha situation, and Drew responded:

“You know what, I think she was just teasing. Like, Martha actually — I’ve never been able to say this before with confidence but I can now — I think Martha really does like me. And I think the internet just misunderstood the moment and ran with it because when I first was getting to know her I was like, ‘I don’t think she likes me.’ But I think I broke through and I finally … She doesn’t dislike me.”
