Marc Jacobs and his money man, Robert Duffy , have cancelled the insanely popular Jacobs holiday party for this year because of the crappy economy.

Duffy issued the following message on Tuesday:

"Due to the financial climate, I had to make the decision to cancel the 2008 holiday party. It pains me as this has been a Marc Jacobs tradition for the past 18 years. Hopefully it will be reinstated next year."

Hopefully, things WILL be better for EVERYONE next year!

Gwyneth Paltrow showed up to the Two Lovers premiere in Paris on Tuesday in a fashion concoction that shocked a couple of onlookers.

The figure-clinging dress featured a lace cut-out down the front that displayed the actress' undergarments.

Personally, we're not too shocked by the dress itself, we're more surprised at the boring almost granny-panties that Gwynnie chose to let everyone see!

Victoria Beckham likes to consider herself pretty fashionable. She is " Posh" after all. She's even released a fashion book and launched her own fashion lines.

In fact, she's so in demand that Giorgio Armani picked her for the new Emporio Armani Women's Underwear campaign next year.

But, just yesterday, Posh was spotted arriving at LAX and she was pretty much covered from head to toe in fug.

Ridiculously covered!

Maybe mixed with different outfits she'd look good. Wear the jacket one day, wear that hat another day.

But putting it all together, we're just not feeling it.

Rihanna has just been selected by GUCCI as the face of its new UNICEF campaign.

The campaign, called "Tattoo Heart," will offer a line of special edition GUCCI products featuring - You guessed it! - a tattoo style heart theme.

25% of proceeds will benefit UNICEF.

Gucci creative director Frida Giannini said the fashion house selected RiRi for its first UNICEF ads because of her "strong personality," feeling that "a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign."

Couldn't agree more!

Fancy magazine powerhouse Conde Nast (Vogue, Vanity Fair, etc.) is truly feeling the economic pinch.

The president of their media division just issued a statement that said the 'toughness' in the ad market is forcing them to put the fashion-meets-music event for charity, Fashion Rocks, on ice for 2009.

That's too bad!

The 2008 Fashion Rocks event benefited Stand Up to Cancer and featured among many others, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Beyonce and Mariah Carey.

We've previously mentioned Vogue's shitty ad revenues for the year.

Too bad its sister pubs are doing crap as well!

Well, we hope cutting the undoubtedly pricey Fashion Rocks event has saved some jobs!
