Talk About A Disaster Film! Gerard Butler Thriller Geostorm Could Lose $100 Million, Making It One Of The Biggest Box Office Bombs Of 2017!

Poor Gerard Butler. You'd think he would have been extra careful after the tragedy that was last year's Gods Of Egypt, but nope — right into another bomb.

Geostorm, Hollywood's latest big budget global disaster film is also Hollywood's latest big budget global disaster. With an opening just north of $13 million (which wasn't even enough to beat Tyler Perry's Boo 2), the film has no chance of recouping its estimated $120 mil production budget, not to mention spending on distribution and advertising.

In fact, experts project it will end up losing the studio around $100 MILLION!

At least Gerard has those Olympus Has Fallen and How To Train Your Dragon movies to go back to. (BTW, pre-production has already begun on Angel Has Fallen for 2018 and How To Train Your Dragon 3 for 2019.)

But hey, Geostorm isn't alone this year. Several other big budget films have flopped hard this year…

Ben Affleck, Zac Efron, & 'Hillary Clinton' Are Up For Razzies! See The Shameful Shortlist!

no title

Every year, there are a TON of award shows that honor the best of the best in movies and film — and thankfully the Razzies also come around annually to give trophies to the worst of the WORST!

While we still won't know the finalists for the anti-Oscars, known as the Golden Raspberry Awards — Razzies for short — we now have the shameful shortlist of nominees!

Zac Efron made it onto the shortlist for his role in the critically maligned Dirty Grandpa, and Ben Affleck might be a finalist for his role in Batman v Superman! BTW, BvS was nominated in EVERY category except Worst Actress! OUCH!

Hillary Clinton even made the tentative list of nominees… well kind of. The "documentary" Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party received several nominations, including one for Becky Turner, who plays her in the propaganda piece movie. One critic described the movie as "piggybacking a baseless personal attack onto a pseudo history lesson"; we're sure the real Hillary would LOVE to see this flick named one of the worst.

Ch-ch-check out the shortlist of nominees (below) as we wait for the FINAL list that will drop January 23 — only a day before the Oscar nominations announcement!

More like romantic tragedies!

Most rom-coms are supposed to make audiences root for an unlikely couple to fall madly in love with each other, with a few good laughs along the way.

And while some of these films are able to successfully court two characters and solve all their life problems just in time for a post-credits wedding dance party scene, the formulaic nature of these films can often times backfire!

No one wants to relive the disastrous romantic pairing of Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler in The Ugly Truth. And instead of making audiences laugh in All About Steve, Sandra Bullock proved that no star can avoid the occasional rom-com stinker.

Just ask Jennifer Aniston, who stars in four of the bad rom-coms that made our list!

Is ANYONE going to see Gods Of Egypt this weekend??

Currently the Gerard Butler fantasy epic — with a reported budget of $140 million PLUS around 30 more for marketing — is only tracking to make $15 mil its opening weekend.

And frankly, between discussions of Hollywood whitewashing at an all-time high, Deadpool still kicking butt, theaters re-running Oscar nominees, and no one at all being interested, we'll be shocked if it makes that much.

Could we be witnessing the biggest flop in history? See what other films it would have to beat…
