Jeremy Renner fans — you can now rest easy tonight!
While it had recently been rumored that Hawkeye was being recast in the Avengers sequel, it looks like Jeremy isn't going ANYWHERE!
Our sources tell us that the recasting rumors are completely untrue and that he will indeed return to the silver screen as Hawkeye! Phew!
And, though it had been reported that some comments Jeremy made pissed off the execs over at Marvel, we're told he's still "very much a part of the Marvel family."
Not only that, but it sounds like we can expect to see Renner in the upcoming installments!!
This weekend just got SO much better…!!!
Jeremy Renner made us SWOON as Hawkeye (yes, even as evil hypnotized Hawkeye) in Joss Whedon's Avengers movie, and we had heard that he'd be making a cameo in Captain America: Winter Soldier…
But it seems Renner may NOT be appearing in any future Marvel projects in ANY capacity, as rumor has it Hawkeye is being RECAST!!
Well, during an interview while promoting the first Avengers flick Jeremy stated:
MTV is known for their CRAZY award shows and the 2013 MTV Movie Awards brought it to the NEXT LEVEL!!!
Besides the AHmazing performances by Selena Gomez and Macklemore, some major actors were honored with eXXXtra special awards.
Rebel Wilson not only brought some HIGHlarious stints to the Sony Pictures Studios stage, but she was also one of the BIGGEST winners of the evening, along with Jamie Foxx and Bradley Cooper.
Ch-ch-check out the rest of MTV's honorees…AFTER THE JUMP!!!
It was the moment we all were waiting for!
Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to see the World War Z star wrap up the MTV Movie Awards by presenting the Movie of the Year Award!
The Avengers was the big winner of the night, taking home the trophy for Movie of the Year! The super-sized action flick had an all star cast featuring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Like we need to tell you! Who didn't see The Avengers?
No wonder it was able to beat out such stiff competition as The Dark Knight RisesDjango Unchained, Silver Linings Playbook, and Ted!
Which brawl will go down in MTV history forever?!
Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner took home the Best Fight award at the MTV Movie Awards for their epic battle against Tom Hiddleston in The Avengers!!!
With all those special effects and bad ass moves, it's no wonder the team sweeped the competition!
The army of superheroes defeated Christian Bale vs. Tom Hardy in The Dark Knight Rises, Jamie Foxx vs Candieland Henchmen in Django Unchained, Daniel Craig vs Ola Rapace in Skyfall, and Mark Wahlberg vs Seth MacFarlane in Ted.
We'll have to see if the second installment of the comic book adaptation will be able to continue the deliciously brutal entertainment with a golden popcorn statue next year!

…Ava Berlin Renner!
That's right, Jeremy Renner and his lady friend, Sonni Pacheco, welcomed their first child together on Thursday after the surprise announcement that they were expecting, and while we knew the bundle of joy was a little girl, the actor's representative has issued a statement with much more detail than previously reported!
It seems pretty automatic to us at this point that even if you never planned on your movie making a sequel, if it hits $200 million world-wide, a sequel is going to happen… no matter what! LOLz!
That looks to be the case with Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, which wasn't the most critically acclaimed movie, but it also wasn't the most offensively terrible. That, folks, is a recipe for a follow up! Ha!
Paramount has now officially announced that a sequel IS in development — even though most of that $200m came from overseas, because it underperformed here in the U.S. with a boring $18m opening. They say it cost somewhere between $50m and $83m depending on who you talk to, but neither of those numbers make the $18m opening look pretty!
Here's some trivia for your beautiful booties: did you know that
