VH1's Hip Hop Honors Paid Tribute To Its Queens In One EPIC Night Of Performances! Watch The Highlights HERE!
After a six-year hiatus, VH1's Hip Hop Honors returned to celebrate the game changers of the hip hop industry.
But this year's event, aptly dubbed All Hail The Queens, was all about that girl power!
Broadcast live for the first time in its history, Monday night's ceremony paid homage to the female trailblazers who burst into the patriarchal genre to make their voices heard — and were honored with AH-Mazing tribute performances!
Hosted by Eve, the evening began with an inspiring statement from Black Lives Matter founders Darnell Moore and Alicia Garza — and also included a taped appearance by First Lady Michelle Obama honoring the women of hip hop!
Kim Kardashian West doesn't mind if North West is inspired by a different Kim!
The almost-three-year-old (the big day is Wednesday!) is definitely known to rock a princess costume or two, and on Sunday she took things a step further by adding a two-toned purple wig!
Kanye West's other half documented the colorful getup on Snapchat (obvi) and even pointed out the similarities between Lil' Kim's look from the 1999 MTV VMAs. The rapper notoriously wore an all lavender NSFW catsuit with a matching wig very similar to Northie's.
But we thought Kylie Jenner invented wigs?! Ha!

Lil' Kim started quite the conversation over the weekend when she posted a series of selfies on social media (above) showcasing her unrecognizable new look.
The New York native simply captioned the collage:
"Miami Heat!!! 🔥🌞😍"
It didn't take long before the Internet took notice to the rapper's lighter skin, blonde hair, and airbrushed appearance.
One fan commented on Instagram:
"Grew up listening to and respecting this chick! Now I feel like the lil Kim I was a fan of died…and is being replaced by som Kardashian wannabe! Self hatred is indeed a terminal illness! She needs help!"
While other commenters questioned:
"What's wrong with being dark skin I'm not understanding"
"OMG Please what's wrong with you? And thank for the message that you are sending out to the young black girls!!!"
The whole situation started an ongoing debate regarding self-love and the possible influence the media had on Kim to change her appearance:
Move over, James Corden!
"We're about to do carpool karaoke with the Kims!"
(Poor Tracy in the backseat…)
Ch-ch-check out all the fun in the videos (below)!
Not only were the Kardashian gals rocking Kim's trademark fur style, but the rapper also got to sit among America's First Family during the show! What an honor!
