Jaywan, an A&R at Universal Music Group, took to his Twitter yesterday to reveal some exciting news for fans of rap and R&B music. Lil' Kim, who has been working on her 5th studio album for the last two-some-odd years, has just been signed to Universal Music Group and will presumably release her next album through the label.

This week, Monica's new single Anything (To Find You) debuted on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at #71, but Lil' Kim's name was not on the chart, and her sample was not in the track.

According to a rep from Monica's label J Records, Kim was cut from the Notorious B.I.G.-sampled track due to "contractual issues."

Here's what Monica had to say about it on Twitter:

"I am just finding out what has happened to my single and myself & Missy are beyond hurt that @LilKim was removed. She’s our friend, a legend & @LilKim will get the respect she deserves at all cost. The clearance was revoked & I’m fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate."

Apparently, it was Biggie's mother Volleta Wallace who didn't clear Kim's sample.

More from Monica:

"We respect all parties involved & were gonna do WHATEVER to keep the song as is because @lilKim the bizness on the record. I am as thorough as they come and I LOVE @LilKim bottom line is Ms Wallace has the final say and she said No. If we put it out we get SUED. "

Sounds like Monica probably won't be able to make this happen, but she's DEF doing wonders for her relationship with Lil' Kim!

It's true, Lil' Kim announced on her 36th birthday that she'll be releasing a new album and the first single from it will be called Looks Like Money.

It's looking like both will drop by the end of the year, though, nobody has been specific beyond the single's title. She hasn't released an album since 2005, so it's about time. Though, the mud-slinging we heard in her diss EP against her Minajesty a while ago doesn't make us too excited for a comeback.

Just sayin'.

She's baaaaack!

Despite all her record label woes, Ciara isn't letting all the dramz get her down.

She'll be touring with Timbaland in South Africa and Zimbabwe beginning at the end of this month.

The two, along with some other guests including Fat Joe and Lil' Kim, will go on a 4 date mini tour in Johanesburg, Durban, Nelspruit, and Harare.

This will be such a boost for Ci's career. She definitely needs this right now. So happy things are looking up for you, gurl! Have fun touring!

The ongoing feud between Nicki Minaj and Lil' Kim escalated once again yesterday via Twitter, as the former apparently attempted to start some shiz against the latter with the following message before quickly deleting it:

However, she wasn't fast enough, and Kim got word of it. And as you can see below, gurlfriend was NOT pleased!

She responded with:
