The Dancing With The Stars season 8 cast has been announced.
And this season promises to be interesting with some show firsts and unusual competitors!
For the first time ever, not one but two real life celebrity couple will compete against each other as singer (and our dear friend) Jewel and hubby Ty Murray, a rodeo star, enter the dance floor. And, in another first, DWTS's very own Julianne Hough will be dancing with her boyfriend Chuck Wicks.
Dancing pros and recently engaged Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff will be returning.
The rest of the list includes pop star Belinda Carlisle, NFL star Lawrence Taylor, Notorious Lil' Kim (even the skimpy costumes will seem like too much clothing for her), Apple computer co-founder Steve Wozniak, actors David Alan Grier and Gilles Marini, and Access Hollywood co-host Nancy O’Dell (they'll let anybody on!).
At 17, Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson is the youngest cast member, and we're sure she'll get a kick out of Jackass' Steve-O.

Lil' Kim is still making a fuss over her portrayal in Biggie biopic Notorious, and now Biggie Smalls' mother, Voletta Wallace, is biting back with some fighting words of her own!
Responding to Kim's objection to casting "too dark" Naturi Naughton, Wallace said, "Do you know why the character was too dark for her? Because she's [Lil' Kim] a white woman trapped in a black woman's body, and you can tell the world I said it, because those are Lil Kim's words. She should be ashamed of herself."
Wallace suggested that Kim "go find herself, go drink a cup of green tea and get a life! This movie is not about Lil' Kim. She felt we used her character to promote [but] this movie is about my son…Lil' Kim needs to go sit down."
What the hell does green tea have to do with this?
They should both sit down…and drink some chai tea!

They must have made her look like a huge, mooching hobag!
The Biggie Smalls biopic comes out this weekend, and B.I.G. protege/mistress Lil' Kim doesn't like how the film makers made her look.
Kim's people released the following statement on her behalf:
"The film studio and producers involved were more concerned about painting me as a 'character' to create a more interesting story line instead of a person with talent, self-respect and who was able to achieve her own career success through hard work… Even though my relationship with Big was at times very difficult and complicated (as with most relationships we have all experienced at one time or another), it was also genuine and built on great admiration and love for each other. Regardless of the many lies in the movie and false portrayal of me to help carry a story line through, I will still continue to carry his legacy through my hard work and music."
At the flick's NY premiere, the screenwriter said he understands why Lil Kim might not like the film, but added "I think that Naturi (Naughton) did a great job playing Kim. I think people are going to be a lot more sympathetic towards (Lil Kim) after seeing the movie."
Facing the truth about yourself is a hard thing to do sometimes!

Lil Kim must be sossss sick of paying lawyers!
The rapper has been sued again! This time for $2.5 million for not delivering on a contract.
The suit was filed by a recording company called Brookland Media on Tuesday.
The paperwork filed says Brookland struck a deal with Lil' Kim this year and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on recordings, equipment and advance payments. The Queen B and her people apparently tried to change the contract and refused to continue recording unless Brookland agreed.
Shady!
Brookland wants the court to declare the contract valid and bar Lil' Kim from recording for another company.
Hope the court gets to the bottom of the shadiness!

Sometimes we forget because of all her "antics" and the fact that she hasn't put out an album in years, but Kimberly Jones is a rapper y'all.
And, this past weekend, she did what she does best!
The artist known as Lil Kim took to the stage for one of her first proper shows in a long time.
The Queen B performed at the Way Out West music festival in Gothenburg, Sweden.
How many licks, bitches????

Sayed Rahman, an employee of Spotlight Live - the Midtown Manhattan karaoke club that hosted Lil Kim's birthday celebration on Sunday - confessed to the murder of party goer Ingrid Rivera, according to a new report.
Rahman apparently killed Rivera after she spurned his sexual advances.
A drunken Rivera was supposedly kicked out of the party. Rahman lured her to the roof of the club claiming that he'd be able to get her back into the party if she followed him.
It also looks like the club is not a stranger to trouble.
In January, six people were stabbed, one fatally, when an argument in the club spilled onto the street.
Partying is fun, but be careful, y'all!

Looks like the NYPD have made a major breakthrough!
According to a new report, police have arrested an employee of the karaoke club, Spotlight Live, that hosted Lil' Kim's birthday bash in connection with the death of the young NYC woman whose body was found Wednesday in a utility closet of the establishment.
Further details of the arrest are not yet known.
The victim's mother sobbed to the media, "My only daughter. I have no more daughter. I was a single mother for all my life. I work hard for her."
So sad!
A spokesman for the rapper said in an e-mailed statement that Wednesday night was "the first Lil' Kim has heard of this matter."
Our condolences to the victim's family and friends.

Death is certainly the last thing you'll expect to run into at a celebrity birthday party.
Sadly, a 24-year-old Queens, N.Y., woman named Ingrid Rivera met her end at Lil' Kim's birthday celebration in Midtown Manhattan on Sunday.
Police confirm that the body of Rivera was found Wednesday on the roof of the Midtown karaoke club, Spotlight Live, where the party was held.
She was reportedly beaten with a blunt object — possibly a champagne bottle — and left for dead.
How horrible!
The police said that the murder victim was last seen on Sunday night and was reported missing on Tuesday.
Lil’ Kim's party was reportedly attended by many musicians, actors and other entertainers.
A friend told the New York Times that “Ingrid was so excited she even bought Kim flowers.”
A friend of the rapper who attended the party told the Times, “When I was there, everything was cool. But we (she and Lil' Kim) didn’t stay very long. Celebrities never do. And everything was fine then.”
Police also said that the killer was probably familiar with the layout of the building because of where the woman’s body was found.
Sad, sad.
Be careful when partying, y'all!

Looks like Foxy Brown is back in trouble.
And this time, so is Lil' Kim.
New York publishers Simon & Schuster are suing both singers saying they were paid advances for books they never delivered on.
Tisk tisk, girls.
According to S&S, Brown was paid $75,000 in 2005 to deliver her autobiography, called Broken Silence, by February of 2006.
As for Lil' Kim, they think she's worth less.
Kimmy was paid $40,000 in 2003 for a novel which was to be turned in by June 2004.
And, now, after some time, the publishing company wants their money back.
Though in the ladies' defense, after signing the deals they were both imprisoned for some months.
Foxy went to jail in 2007 for violating probation and Lil' Kim went in 2005 for lying about that shooting.
Whatever, their prison time should have given them more to write about we think.
No word yet from the attorneys.
