Meryl Streep is such an inspiration!

The Hope Springs actress got together with Katie Couric to promote her Entertainment Industry Foundation's National Colorectal Cancer Research foundation, which is teamed up with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and to do her part, Miz Streep recorded a PSA that urges everyone to get screened for colorectal cancer.

Since Meryl knows how important it is to screen for this type of cancer, she reveals that she made everyone she knows get a test done, and noted:

Meryl Streep was recently in NYC doing press for her new movie Hope Springs.

She was there with her two very famous co-stars Tommy Lee Jones and Steve Carell.

She did stand out though… because she had a giant bandage on her hand!

What happened?!

Kate Winslet really is a wonderful human being. In between her busy schedule as a mom and an amazing actress, she was able to get pretty much every A-lister in Hollywood to contribute to her latest charity endeavor.

The Rainforest Fund announced its April 3rd 2012 benefit concert and it will be at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.

The event, sponsored by Revlon, will feature some HUGE acts including

Christopher Reeve's charity is still going strong, and there is more than enough evidence with how many people came out to support it's gala event — including a long list of celebs!

It was even hosted by Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin!!

Matthew and Alexandra, Christopher's kids, were there as the family representatives giving support — as Christopher passed away in 2004, and his wife Dana in 2006 (because of lung cancer).

The charity looks to find treatments and cures for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury — something Christopher had to deal with for almost 10 years.

It's such a good cause, and we're glad to see that it's still very important to people even after these past few years!

Kate Winslet is doing her part.

She just finished a book of celebrity self-portrait photos by Ben Stiller, Jude Law, Meryl Streep, and others to help support the treatment of autism.

The book is called The Golden Hat and it includes more than two dozen celebrity self-portraits. In each photo, the celeb is wearing a special hat that was passed along, and they write what their first words would have been if they were suddenly able to communicate after years of being mute.

64-year-old singer Jimmy Buffet was rushed to the hospital today in Australia after falling off of the stage during a concert.

So far, people think a flashing light caused him to become unconscious and hit the ground.

The band’s lead guitarist says that Jimmy was doing a solo at the front of the stage when he was hit directly by a large amount of light, knocking him backwards.

Fortunately, he wasn’t too seriously hurt, and doctors stay he’s in stable condition.
