Six BFFz are SO much better than five!!!

And that is why the mother in How I Met Your Mother has been confirmed as the newest REGULAR addition to the cast!!!

Cristin Milioti, who was just introduced in the season 8 finale, won the title of series regular for the ninth and *tear* FINAL season of the uber-popular sitcom.

This news is especially monumental because it is the first time EVER that HIMYM has extended the regulars beyond the original stars like Josh Radnor, Alyson Hannigan, Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders and Jason Segel.

Now we're absolutely positive the final season will be the best yet!

Congrats, Cristin and welcome to the TV fam!

Well, that took long enough!

How I Met Your Mother has kept this secret for eight long seasons, spanning a grand total of 183 episodes, but we can finally put a face to the show’s infamous Mother! Portrayed by actress Cristin Milioti, Ted’s wife was revealed in the final few seconds of last night’s finale.

While fans will have to wait till next season to learn more about Cristin on-screen, here’s the lowdown on the actress!

She’s a Tony-nominated Broadway star, following her stage performance in Once! Cristin has also played a version of Paris Hilton during a guest stint on 30 Rock, and she’s even married to Leo DiCaprio in the upcoming film, The Wolf of Wall Street!

What’s more, she shares Carrie Bradshaw’s penchant for men who can build furniture — ahem, Aidan — and is notorious for getting her idioms confused! Ahh, we love her already!

Sounds like quite the catch!

Neil Patrick Harris has the most legendary family of all time!

The How I Met Your Mother star and his hubba hubby David Burtka were spotted taking their kids for a pony ride in Beverly Hills on Mother's Daddy's Day!

Gideon and Harper were all smiles atop their steeds, and so were NPH and David!

What Billy Crystal is to the Oscars, Neil Patrick Harris is to the Tony Awards!

The talented How I Met Your Mother actor will be fronting the 67th Tony Awards for the fourth time, making him the show’s resident host of sorts. And yet, we couldn’t be more thrilled! There’s nothing quite like a little NPH song and dance to put us in a good mood!

Upon the announcement, Neil said:

Someone was a little over eager at the Race to Erase MS Charity Gala held in Los Angeles last Friday!

Yep, by the looks of the photo (above), Elton John’s husband David Furnish got one seriously goooood feel of Neil Patrick Harris’ behind!! LOLz!

Sir Elton, David, Neil, and Neil’s partner David Burtka posed for some pictures at the event, and though David tried for the discrete NPH grope, he didn’t quite manage.

While we’re sure this was all just a bit of fun and game, we’re totes jealous! What we’d give for a feel of that haaaawwwt bottom!

Neil Patrick Harris has signed up for the micro-blogging social media site (at @instagranph) and he got a VERY kind welcome too.

Even though the How I Met Your Mother actor JUST joined less than a week ago and only has 3 pics, he already has an impressive 39,000 followers!

So what did Neil choose to post about first?? His adorable fam! DUH.

Besides a giggle-worthy photo of an old-timey horse, the funnyman posted a pic of his partner David Burtka in full Sherlock Holmes attire as well as a snap of his presh tots, Harper and Gideon.

Fine, we'll follow you, Neil. But we'll only press that button if you pinky-promise to keep giving us pics of the twins! Deal??

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka are as in love today as they've ever been!

Unfortunately in California, same sex marriage is as illegal as it's ever been! Neil says:

"It would be great to move the ring from my right hand to my left, but Prop 8 won't allow us to do that. David and I have been soulmate-y since we first met."

But the couple is tired of waiting around for change! They're moving to New York City and making this thing official!
