We hope so, because we really aren't feeling the first single!

Chuck Harmony, one of Rihanna's producers along with Ne-Yo for "Russian Roulette", is doing damage control singing Rihanna's praises and her "growth as an artist" calling her the Madonna of her generation.

Here are some HIGHlights:

On "Russian Roulette":

"I sat through mix sessions and I heard some of the songs on the record. It fits in. 'Russian Roulette' is definitely taking her to another level. I think she's a pop icon, so her music should reflect that."

On remaining true to her fanbase:

"I think Rihanna has captured what her old fans are used to, as well as the growth of an artist. 'Russian Roulette,' to me, is a shining example of her growth and her artistic expression,"

On the album as a whole:

"I was actually shocked I got the first single ’cause the album is so great. The way it's unfolding is so genius. Like, 'The wait is ova' [message on her site]. I was waiting too. I wanted to see the cover, I wanted to hear the song. It's one of those records where you just don't know. It's not a faith record. It's one of those thought-provoking records."

So far our only provoked thought is "meh."

We SO want to believe him when he says that the rest of the album is amazing.

We love RiRi and want her to do well, especially after the year she's had!

Perhaps, according to some of her collaborators.

Though Rihanna didn't show up to the ceremonies last night, Ne-Yo did attend the VMAs and he shared that he's been helping RiRi write and record some fresh material for her next album.

Ne-Yo says, "Expect an edgier, almost angrier Rihanna on this one…Rihanna says some things on this album that you've never heard her say before."

Really? Like you hate Chris Brown? Because that we would love to hear!

He wouldn't given any more details and he isn't even sure when the album will be releases. But regardless, we're still happy to hear that she is back to work.

Time to start anew! But it wouldn't hurt if you wrote a song about hating Beat-Her-Down. No one we know would mind.

Yet another celebrity wanting to "cross-over!"

R&B star Ne-Yo is taking a break from the music biz and joining the cast of Battle: Los Angeles.

The science-fiction war film will also star Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Bridget Moynahan and Michael Peña.

Ne-Yo will play a corporal in the platoon fighting off the aliens.

Yawn.

The singer-songwriter also just landed a gig with Disney, penning and performing the closing song for The Princess and the Frog.

Shooting for Battle: Los Angeles begins in Shreveport, Louisiana this week.

Wow!

Shreveport is becoming pretty popular celeb destination.

This fall, the UK will see the battle of Leona v. Robbie!

The two chart toppers are releasing their new albums just a week apart, with Robbie Williams' Reality Killed The Video Star hitting store shelves on November 9th and Leona Lewis' Echo scheduled for release on November 16th.

Meow!

Williams has been hard at work with former Buggle Trevor Horn on the new album - the first full-length release for Robbie in over three years!

And how's Leona's album coming along?

"I'm in the midst of the recording process, working with incredible songwriters and producers and my music has really evolved," the X Factor winner revealed in a recent interview.

Lewis has reportedly called on NeYo and Xenomania to aid in the songwriting department for the new record.

Time for some damage control!

After bailing on TWO performances in the UK, singer NeYo is speaking out to try and sort the matter out.

The R&B star burst into tears after abruptly ending a performance in Manchester last week, leaving fans baffled.

Turns out NeYo's teardrops were the result of a broken heart!

As well as a sinus infection.

He writes:

I'm currently on tour in the UK. This tour began right after a 4 month stint in Prague shooting a world war 2 movie. We're in a different city in a different part of the UK every night, moving non stop. Since my first album, roughly 5 years ago, I've taken 1 vacation, and even that was about 2 years ago.

Basically, I have an issue with not knowing when to say enough is enough, so last night in Manchester, my body said it for me.

I got on stage energized and ready to go, even tho for the last 5 days I've been dealing with a sinus infection. I paid it no real mind, and kept on going, like I always do. My voice couldn't take it. From the first song I knew something was wrong. I shoulda stopped there, but I come from a school where no matter what, the show must go on. It wasn't until about 4 songs in that I came to the painful realization that my voice was done, literally nothing left, and that I would have to stop the show.

Now let me explain something to you:

When I say this music, that stage, my fans, THIS is my life, I'm not saying it cause it sounds good in a sound bite. THIS IS MY LIFE!! Not much else matters to me, honestly.

My music, my family and the people that appreciate my music…..the fans. THAT'S ABOUT IT!!

I've never had to stop a show, never dreamed I'd ever have to. So when I had to walk out on that stage and tell 12,000 of the people responsible for making me who I am that I could not perform for them, it literally broke my heart.

I cried harder than I have in a very long time with no shame whatsoever.

To anyone out there that would like to question my manhood because of this I'll say this to you:

If the one thing you cared about more than anything else in the world was threatened or even taken from you, if you knew that the people you cared for the most you had to disappoint and it was your fault… and this didn't spark some kind of emotional outbreak within you…then with no shame I'll say you are truly a stronger man than I.

To the people of Manchester, know that I love you and I thank you for being so understanding and supportive. And I promise you that you will receive the show deserved.

Thanks to the fans for the love and concern.

And to the bloggers….go to hell.

NeYo was feeling more than just a little under the weather Thursday night at his UK concert in Manchester. The R&B singer was in the middle of a song when he abruptly walked off-stage, only to come back in tears!

He complained of feeling ill and was unable to continue. He promised to return at a later date before exiting stage right to the sound of a very emotionally mixed audience.

What could have happened? Swine flu???

He didn't look that sick to us!

UK audiences seeing rapper Ne-Yo's "performance" at Mercy nightclub in Norwich on Sunday received a mayjah disappointment.

The douchebag didn't show up until 2am, performed one and a half songs, then left!!!!

How the hell do you perform half a song and leave?!

Admission for the concert cost £20 and £40 for entrance into the VIP lounge for a meet and greet with the rapper.

The nightclub was forced to issue the following statement on its website:

”Mercy nightclub would like to apologise to all persons that attended the neyo event July 12th. Neyo was booked via an outside promoter and commited to a midnight performance of 5 tracks (minimum) and a meet & greet for VIP customers. For reasons beyond our control the artist arrived on stage at 2am , performed one song and left without reason or notice. Full refunds will be issued within 28 days. Further details will be announced as soon as possible.”

Then, the statement was retracted and replaced with this:

"Due to legal reasons, Mercy Nightclub has been asked to retract the previous statement publicised on our our website. The Neyo event was organised by an outside promotion company (Power house promotions). All ticket sale revenues are due to be paid to Powerhouse for this event. We are now in negotiation to resolve all the issues regarding this matter and will endeavour to keep everybody informed."

We smell a backlash!

Ticketholders are gonna get screwed!!!!!

We have a confession to make: Lindsay Lohan's Bossy is one of our guilty pleasures!

The song has grown on us - like a fungus.

Well, unfortunately for LezLo, the song went nowhere, despite being released on iTunes.
