Jimmy Kimmel has certainly hit his stride.

The late night host is in the midst of planning a (brief) move to Brooklyn as his ABC chat show will be taping from his hometown for all of next week. While the funny man has been making non-stop headlines for taking on Donald Trump, healthcare, and the NRA, it appears his stint in Brooklyn will have some seriously memorable moments.

During a chat with ABC News' Amy Robach, Kimmel revealed that former Late Show host David Letterman is slated to stop by Jimmy Kimmel Live: Back to Brooklyn. This is pretty major as it'll be Letterman's first late-night appearance since retiring. Jimmy explained:

Did Gwyneth Paltrow try to out Harvey Weinstein back in 1998??

Thanks to a dug up Late Show clip, it appears the blonde actress took shots at the movie mogul's bullying ways while chatting with David Letterman almost two decades ago. Whoa!!

During her sit down with the funny man, the A-lister made it perfectly clear that she was pressured to delay her Thanksgiving plans and appear on the chat show per Harvey's orders. When asked by Letterman if someone had "coerced" her to be there, the Emma actress laughed and quipped:

Bachelor In Paradise Isn't The First TV Show Rocked By A Real-Life Sex Scandal!

At this point, there's no WAY you haven't heard about the Bachelor In Paradise scandal.

We still have no idea how Corinne Olympios' claim she was too intoxicated to consent to sex with DeMario Jackson — and that producers filmed the entire thing — will affect the franchise. Maybe we've seen the last of BIP forever, maybe this will all go away.

It certainly has gone either way with TV sex scandals in the past.

For instance, Jamie Lynn Spears' little surprise meant the end of Zoey 101 and pretty much her entire TV career. But David Letterman faced his legal issue head-on and was able to keep his show for years!

See which other shows faced sex scandals — and which ones survived (below)!

david letterman mom dies

Poor David Letterman.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that the late night host's mother, Dorothy Mengering, had passed away. She was 95 years old.

The news was confirmed by the comedian's publicist, Tom Keaney. It's certainly heartbreaking to hear about Mengering's passing as fans of Letterman's knew her well from her many appearances on the 70-year-old's shows, The Late Show and Late Night.

In case you forgot, since the Midwestern homemaker was an excellent baker, Dorothy rose to popularity through a cooking bit playfully known as Guess Mom's Pies. Oh, and who could forget Dorothy's cookbook, Home Cookin' With Dave's Mom.

She also served as the Late Show's correspondent at the Winter Olympics in 1994, 1998, and 2002. David's mom will definitely be missed.

Our thoughts are with Dorothy's loved ones during this sad time.

David Letterman felt REALLY bad about those times he cheated on his wife.

Specifically, the time his affair with Late Show assistant Stephanie Birkitt led to CBS producer Robert Halderman blackmailing him for $2 million.

The former talk show host spun into a deep depression over the 2009 scandal, according to a new biography by New York Times reporter Jason Zinoman that reveals what was known by his inner circle amid the controversy.

Letterman was "shaken" after revealing the scandal on air (where he admitted "I have had sex with women who work for me"), mostly out of fear that he would never see his family again.

As told in Letterman: The Last Giant of Late Night, the veteran host said about his desperate moment:
