The love for this man knows no boundaries.
Back in 2001, Robin Williams met Koko, a 43-year-old gorilla, and the two had a close encounter that left them both deeply moved.
Well, when the Gorilla Foundation in Northern California received the news of the actor's death earlier this week… Koko picked up on what happened and her reaction is incredibly heartbreaking.
Robin Williams was a huge animal lover. If we find any more reasons to love this guy we'll never stop crying.
We're trying to ease the pain by celebrating his life and all the wonderful things about him that make him so… well, wonderful!
Like his love of animals!
Robin was a huge fan of animals, so much that the San Francisco Zoo totally named a monkey after him!!
They were obviously super sad about losing him, so they released a statement:
Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) is a wonderful organization!
Their purpose is to help as many shelter animals as they possibly can!!
Their mission statement reads:
"ARF saves dogs and cats who have run out of time at public shelters and brings people and animals together to enrich each others lives. ARF strives to create a world where every loving dog and cat has a home, where every lonely person has a companion animal, and where children learn to care."
But how will they spread their message of love and kindness to animals??
With the help of celebs!! They're releasing a calendar!
The calendar will feature some of our favorite celebs, including:
This is amazing.
