This is amazing.
No, Rooney Mara did not wear a color you'd find in the rainbow or anything crazy like that, but she did shock us with a new silhouette at the Los Angeles Film Festival's screening of Aint Them Bodies Saints on Saturday.
The raven-haired actress looked seksi in a dark blue, two-piece J.W. Anderson outfit consisting of a strapless flutter top and matching skirt with ruffled hem.
This may be the flirtiest we've ever seen her! She looks downright FUN, like she might bust out a flamenco move at any given moment!
Alas, if only her hair had the same joie de vivre as her outfit.
Her bangs look superglued to her forehead and all we wanna do is peel them off.
Thoughts???

Rooney Mara has admitted that she's not especially fond of dressing up and walking the red carpet, but that doesn't stop her from attending events that pretty much only call for that.
Maybe she doth protest too much???
The actress couldn't come up with a good excuse to ditch the CFDA Awards in NYC on Monday, so she reluctantly put on a black lace Calvin Klein dress and posed with Francisco Costa.
As predictable as this look is, it's really chic as well!
We even like the now-redundant cutaway hem and Rooney's beloved Brian Atwood heels.
Until the next black outfit, Roons!

Casey Affleck has come a long way since he was begging Matt Damon and Ben Affleck for his double burger from the backseat of a car!
Now he plays opposite the totally talented dragon tattoo gal, Rooney Mara, in Ain't Them Bodies Saints — a gritty flick about a man who escapes prison to track down his wife!
Ch-ch-check out the official trailer (above)!
Shia LaBeouf stand-in Ben Foster also stars in the fine looking film.
Ain’t Them Bodies Saints hits theaters on August 16!

Rooney Mara's love for black and white scaled new heights at the Cannes Film Festival over the weekend.
On Saturday, the actress attended the Ain't Them Saints Bodies premiere in a contrast Christian Dior dress with flutter layer over the bodice and draped skirt.
It looked fab on the runway, but swamped Rooney's petite figure in this case.
Sunday, the 27-year-old walked the red carpet at the For the Love of Cinema event in another two-toned Vera Wang dress, which featured a leather panel at the bust.
The same Brian Atwood heels and severe bun completed both outfits.
Guess we can't expect Roons to venture out of her comfort zone anytime soon.
Oh, well.

Can fabulous cheekbones and an insouciant attitude help sell perfume?
The peeps at Calvin Klein are banking on it as they've cast the broody Rooney Mara in their latest ad campaign for new scent Downtown.
The actress wears a leather jacket and leans back against a red-brick wall in the first released ad (above) shot by Jean-Baptiste Mondino.
The fragrance itself, which boasts notes of Tunisian neroli, green pear and watery plum, will be available in stores nationwide in September.
Sounds YUMZ!
In addition to the ad campaign, Roons will star in a commercial for the perfume directed by David Fincher, who directed the actress in The Social Network and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
That's a lot of talent in one commercial! It better be damn good!

Are you surprised to see Rooney Mara at a Calvin Klein event? Ha!
The actress bit back her smile while walking the black carpet at the IFP, Calvin Klein Collection, and Euphoria Calvin Klein Women in Film celebration at Cannes on Thursday night.
The VAST majority of Rooney's past looks have been either black or white, or, in some cases, both, but this time we got to see her change it up ever so slightly.
She went nude!
Roons chose a delicate slip of a dress by the designer for the event, styling it with t-strap heels and tight bun.
Though pretty and ethereal, it's also rather forgettable.
We hope she wears something a bit more exciting next time!

What the punk?! Rooney Mara isn't wearing black!
We can hardly believe our eyes!
The actress and co-chair along with Riccardo Tisci predictably wore Givenchy to the Met Gala, but her ruffled, lacy gown screams more bridal than punk.
Maybe if she'd taken a pocket knife and slashed it up a little, it'd be more hardcore.
As it stands now, it just makes us think of lace doilies.
Rooney's severely pulled back hairdo and purple lips had a punky vibe, but since she always has that same hair and makeup look, we're not sure if it was part of the theme or not.
Not loving it!
Are U???
