Scientists are predicting that one-third of land animals could suffer dramatic losses over the course of the century due to one awful thing…
CLIMATE CHANGE!
Even worse is that over half of all plants could be hit just as hard as their environments become unsuitable for their disposition.
As different ecosystems begin to collapse, there will be major consequences to us humans.

Paul McCartney is a huge animal lover and big supporter of animal rights.
So of course he was so happy when the European Union (EU) enacted a law that banned all animal testing.
Cruelty Free International (Buav) is an organization that really spearheaded the ban in Europe, and now they've joined forces with Sir Paul to bring that ban to the rest of the world.

We don't just mean having a dog will fill your heart with feelings of joy and contentment.
We mean that the American Heart Association released a study that had a panel of experts review years of data on the cardiovascular benefits of owning a pet!
The group found that owning a pet, specifically a dog, was "probably associated" with a reduced risk of heart disease.

In Uruguay, scientists have genetically modified sheep so that they can glow-in-the-dark!!
They only glow under ultraviolet light though, so unless you have a black light, you'll miss these goats' special ability.
Researchers at Uruguay's Animal Reproduction Institute partnered with the Pasteur Institute of Montevideo to create the first transgenic sheep in Latin America.
Naki'o is a cute rescue dog who is one lucky guy.
As a puppy, he lost all four of his paws and the tip of his tail to frostbite.
He was found frozen in a puddle in the basement of an abandoned home.
Luckily, Naki'o's owner got him four prosthetic paws!
Now he can run around and play just like other dogs.
He doesn't need a special chair to wheel around in or anything, he's just like any other normal dog now and it's ahmayzing!
Way to go, science and medicine! Save those doggies!
Check out the video (above) to see Naki'o the bionic dog in action.

Animal activists stormed an animal research facility at the University of Milan in Italy.
The extreme supporters of animal rights released a number of mice and rabbits from their cages, and mixed up cage labels to disturb what experiments were going on.
The workers at the research facility were using the animals to research autism and schizophrenia.
Although no arrests were made - the university says it is considering pressing charges
