Simon Cowell may be bringing the hit British show The X Factor over to our side of the pond.

The potential deal with Fox would have Cowell signed on to do 2 more seasons as an Idol judge while executive producing The X Factor for Fox.

Negotiations are rumored to have Cowell making $50 million for each season of Idol and in all probability a similar amount for each cycle of The X Factor.

Wowzas!

As for the judges, it's uncertain whether or not Cowell will appear on the X Factor panel. Rumored judges are former Idol judge Paula Abdul, Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole and manager Louis Walsh.

Hey Simon, here's a fab idea - make Perezzers a judge!

This wouldn't be surprising!

Simon Cowell is reportedly starting his own dance show in the vein of So You Think You Can Dance.

Cowell currently produces America's Got Talent and judges on both The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent in the UK.

He's said to be partnering up with UK buddy Ian Burton, who once ran a record label with him and has experience managing dancers, to compete with So You Think You Can Dance and fellow British producer Nigel Lythgoe.

"It's his own SYTYCD show. He is always trying to do his own thing to compete with the Idol team. Now he is trying to steal the SYTYCD thunder," says a source.

That Simon is such an instigator!

Better watch out, Nigel! Sounds like he's going to give you a run for your money!

Update: A rep for Cowell tells us he's "not even thinking about" starting a dancing reality show in America. And we're inclined to believe her.

Kara DioGuardi has nothing but praise for the casting of Ellen DeGeneres as the 4th judge for the upcoming season of American Idol.

She says:

"I think it's a genius decision. I wish I had thought of it. I know a little bit about Ellen from watching her show and I would says she would probably be somebody who would be fair in her criticism and will try to be as supportive as she possibly could. I think it's going to be a lot of fun."

Translation - "I think she's the exact opposite of Paula Abdul and that is a great thing!"

Kara continues:

"[Ellen will get along with everyone] 100 percent. I was on her show once and she's lovely, generous, very kind. I think it's going to be great."

Could that be a jab at the infamous arguments between Paula and everybody else?

When asked where Ellen will be sitting on the panel, Kara oh-so-sweetly says, "Hopefully, next to me."

And Abdrool continues to pop her pills in horror!

His name is Ethan Boroian. He's from Chicago, Illinois, but currently living in the UK and he just gave the best audition of the new season of Simon Cowell's X Factor.

Not only can he sing, but he's sooooo dreamy. Like, soooooo dreamy dreamy dreamy.

Simon Cowell's 50th birthday bash is rapidly approaching and we're sure all those A-List celebs attending are scrambling to figure out what to get him.

But Kate Moss has it all figured out.

Cokate's going to "surprise" him with a performance, as in she's going to sing for Simon!

She does know that this is a birthday party and not an X-Factor or American Idol try-out, right?

So, what song has she picked to make Simon's ears bleed?

According to a source, "It’s a toss up between a sexy Marilyn Monroe-style ‘Happy Birthday’, or her speciality Lily Allen’s Not Fair, which she has been practicing with her friend Lily.”

If she's been practicing with Lily, then it's guaranteed to be a hot mess!

Hopefully someone will record this!

We wonder how many jobs they have between them!

As previously reported, Ellen DeGeneres will be replacing Paula Abdul as American Idol judge, so it seems apropos that the funnywoman found time to call her new costar, Ryan Seacrest on Thursday to chat On Air.

Here are some HIGHlights:

On her qualifications for being a judge:
"The people are the ones that choose the American Idol. Ultimately it doesn't come down to some expert in the music industry, it comes down to everybody at home that says 'that's the person I relate to, that's the person that I'm going to buy music from'."

On her judging style:
"I'm not going to be mean, I hate when Simon [Cowell] is that mean. You can be constructive and criticize somebody that's helpful instead of mean spirited."

On Paula Abdul's departure:
"I hope Paula [Abdul] is okay with it. I don't want anybody to think I took Paula's job away. I feel like she was gone and then everybody was looking for somebody else, then I stepped in. I certainly don't want to be that person that is the evil taking Paula's job away."

Paula isn't even paying attention to all the press!

She's probably drugged herself unconscious resting!

Simon Cowell's 50th birthday bash is upon us and he's crossing the milestone in style!

Sony BMG is hosting the £250,000 black-tie event to be held at Hertfordshire's Wrotham Park for Cowell and 400 of his closest celebrity pals.

Expected guests include Sir Elton John, Kevin Spacey, Kate Moss and Kylie Minogue!

Surely Paula must be invited, too!

Our darling Leona Lewis, Il Divo and Westlife are also said to be performing at the A-list soiree on October 7.

Mezhgan Hussainy, Cowell's reported new girlfriend and American Idol make-up artist, is also invited in addition to THREE of his ex-girlfriends, including Terri Seymour.

How nice that the American Idol judge is so friendly with his past loves.

This sounds like a great party!

Simon Cowell has finally decided to speak about Paula Abdul's departure from American Idol.

It's about damn time! Everyone else has!

Cowell tells Extra that it's "different" without her and he "misses her".

Aww! Is the hardass judge going soft?

Simon says "the chemistry between the judges is different without her". We blame Kara DioGuardi for that. Besides, Paula's been there since the beginning!

When his ex-girlfriend, Terri Seymour, asked him to explain more about the chemistry being off he said "It's like comparing a carrot to a banana".

That's an inneresting comparison.

But Simon isn't worried about Paula's future because she's "someone who will always work."

Obviously. The bills aren't gunna to pay themselves!

She seems to be doing just fine, though, since she landed the hosting gig for VH1's Divas Live and guest starring on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva.

We're interested to see how this next season will be without Abdrool. Even though it won't be the same, it'll be nice to see some fresh faces on the judging panel like Victoria Beckham and Mary J. Blige!

Simon Cowell and ex-GF Terri Seymour are being sued by a woman who is seeking $661.59 for shoe replacement.

That's right -bitch wants her shoes replacedher!

The lawsuit states that woman came to their home as "try-out" chef. Terri made her remove her sneakers and put on a "clear-bottom" pair while in the house. The woman claims she had $500 orthopedic insoles inside her shoes for arch support. Somehow, she forgot her beloved sneakers and when she attempted to get them back, Terri's assistant gave her back a pair that wasn't hers.

So now she wants $661.59 and Simon & Terri won't pony it up. Their rep says it's a "ridiculous story" and that they found and returned a pair to the woman.

For such a small purse, they should just give the woman the money and chalk it up to a charitable donation.

Clearly, this woman is destitute if she is suing over insoles!
