Bitter Betty Charlie!

dianewenn2586057.jpg

There is no love for Diane Sawyer coming from Charlie Gibson. Though he may play like they are besties, insiders are reporting that Charlie dislikes Diane BIG TIME!

A source claims that Charlie frequently gives Diane "the stink eye" as well as "bad-mouths her openly and often."

How very 6th grade of him!

Furthermore, we hear Charlie isn't too thrilled that Diane will be taking his coveted position at ABC Nightly News. Charlie had wanted George Stephanopoulos to be his successor, but the ABC News president, David Westin, gave it to Diane instead. That really threw Charlie into a tizzy!

A source reveals:

"He was shocked when he learned Diane got it, and he was really angry that she stole his thunder. As soon as she was named, it was all about Diane."

Then he stomped around the office screaming "Diane! Diane! Diane!"

Cheer up, Charlie. You had your chance at the golden ticket of journalism. Now, it's her turn. Get over it!

DanRad Spoofs Twilight!

robwenn2299743.jpg

We think even the most sensitive of Twilighter will find this highly amusing.

Daniel Radcliffe has agreed to lend his voice to next year's Simpson's Treehouse of Horror XXI! His bit is a spoof off the Twilight franchise.

Genius!

Insiders from the show explain that Dan will be playing "Edmund", a vampire who Lisa Simpson falls in love with. However, his father, Dracula, doesn't approve and Homer joins forces with the ancient vamp to put an end to their children's romance.

Exec producer Al Jean says that Daniel is "very excited" to be apart of the episode.

Yeah, we are forced to agree. This does sound good!

Is it Halloween yet?

TV Stations Don't Wanna Pay For The Big O

ap08011001124_e.jpg

The recession is finally taking it's toll on the talk show queen!

If Oprah decides to renew her distribution deal with CBS Television in 2011, she may be seeing a smaller paycheck! TV stations have had it with Harpo's large price tag that comes with the rights to air the daytime talk show.

Variety explains:

“Stations have made it clear to [Winfrey's production company] Harpo that if she does come back, they’ll significantly reduce the license fees they pay. Station revenues are down 40 percent to 50 percent, but they’re paying license fees projected on revenue remaining the same. Plus, her ratings are going down. She’s still the queen, but that’s an enormous problem.”

Ouch!

But will Oprah even notice a pay decrease? She's got millions upon millions in the bank!

Buffy Lives On In The Web!

buffycom__opt.jpg

As we mentioned, though any plans to get the original Scooby Gang back on the big screen have yet to come through, creator Joss Whedon still plans to keep the series alive through an animated series.

Now, we have some more details, including the casting notice for some brand new characters. Since his new series, Dollhouse, has officially been cancelled, Joss is turning his attention to a series of motion-comic webisodes based on the popular Buffy Season Eight comic books.

So far, we gather the series won't exactly center around the famed blonde vampire slayer herself, but rather the new characters developed within the comic books, including the big bad villain called Twilight (not be confused with the rival vampire franchise) and the evil Slayer Lady Genevieve Savidge, who wants to take Buffy down.

There are some more familiar characters being brought into the mix as well, including Robin Wood, Kennedy, and Faith. Hey, we bet Eliza Dushku wouldn't mind some work!

Sounds like it might be a fun pet project for Joss, but it certainly doesn't live up to the thrill of Sarah Michelle Gellar stepping back into the role.

What do U think?

Wendy Williams Renewed!

wenn2576071.jpg

We were surprised too!

Fox's The Wendy Williams Show has been renewed through the 2011-12 season.

Not too shabby!

Ratings have improved drastically for the show recently! Wendy's viewership has increased by 23% in households, 43% among women 18-34 and 37% in women 25-54.

Damn girl!

"There was no question that we wanted to renew The Wendy Williams Show given what we've seen thus far in both content and ratings," said Frank Cicha, Fox's senior VP of programming. "We anticipate even further growth as the show continues to emerge as a key building block, and Wendy as a key personality, of our daytime landscape."

Congrats!

Bob Saget Discovers America!

wenn2518523.jpg

Thanks to the execs at A&E, you will travel to the depths of America to discover the most off-beat, interesting characters this country has to offer - with tour guide Bob Saget!

The network has greenlit seven episodes of Bob Saget's Strange Days, an hourlong non-scripted show that serves as an offshoot of his standup in which he riffs on the unusual and obscene.

And you'll have to wait till late 2010 to watch this shiz!

"Bob Saget has been a part of the television landscape for years, but now we'll be seeing him in a completely different light as he travels the country to explore ways of living that most of us know nothing about," said A&E senior VP of nonfiction and alternative programming, Robert Sharenow.

The travel show will take Bob into groups of biker gangs, Amish teenagers, mail-order brides and survivalist cults.

Yikes!

We think it might be more suited for HBO! At least his mouth is!

Will U watch Bob Saget for an hour straight?!
