Portuguese superstar/Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo has just been been named FIFPro World Footballer of the Year.

Congrats, tanningholic one!

Reports say that he's also expected to win the Balon d'Or and the Fifa World Player of the Year award.

All these awards are coming Ronnie's way because he played a huge role in Manchester United's successful 2007-08 season.

The north England team captured both the English Premiere League and Champion's League titles.

Ronaldo also killed any transfer rumors that are floating around. He told a Spanish paper, "I insist that I am a Manchester United player and now I think that next year I will continue here."

That must make United fans happy, right?

The newest Major League Soccer team, the Seattle Sounders, is expected to announce on Tuesday that Swedish soccer sensation, homolicious Freddy Ljungberg will be part of their team.

Freddy was featured prominently in a Calvin Klein underwear campaign a few years ago.

Delish!

The Swede has faced off against reigning MLS Euro hunk, David Beckham, many times. A few years back, they both played in England's profesh soccer league.

Freddy played for Arsenal when Becks was part of Manchester United.

Hope the MLS adds more smoking hot Euros to the league!

This past weekend, Victoria Beckham hit son Brooklyn's soccer game in ultra casual wear.

She even wore flats!

Daddy Becks must be so happy that Brooklyn is showing some interest in the family business!

Vicky's feet must've been so grateful to have flip flop day, as well.

Of all the starlets and pop tarts who've been sporting that awful 'boyfriend' jean look, we think Posh does it the best.

The ink hasn't even dried on David Beckham's "loan" deal to AC Milan and the Italians are already going Beckham mad!

Posh has reportedly been offered a $16 million TV deal by AC Milan's owner, Silvio Berlusconi, who's also the country's Prime Minister and a media mogul.

The UK's Daily Mirror said producers want to film Vicky B. and David arriving in Milan, house-hunting and shopping in the European capital of fashion ahead David's loan move.

Just like the "Reality" show she made when the Beckham clan moved to Uhmericuh!

A snitch told the tabloid, "With Silvio 100 per cent behind the project, as part of his vision to expand the AC Milan brand, it really will be no holds barred. Berlusconi is desperate to get Posh on board and will pull out all the stops to make sure it happens."

If the deal goes through, it will make Posh the highest paid TV hostess in Italian TV history.

Crazy!

However, there's a chance that Posh will poo poo the Italian deal.

The Daily Mail has learned from Beckham insiders that Posh isn't too keen on Milan or taking their kids out of school and won't follow David to Italy for his temporary move.

Beckingham Palace, the Beckham's ginormous home in England, is supposedly being prepared to be the weekly rendezvous spot for the couple while Becks is in Italy. Milan is only about two hours away from London via plane.

Police were called to the New York home of former Knicks president Isiah Thomas early Friday morning for what might have been an overdose on sleeping pills.

Authorities arrived shortly after midnight, but no further details have been released apart from the fact that Thomas is fine.

Thomas was fired from the Knicks in April after a seven season losing streak and a troubled year riddled with sexual harassment, feuds, and fans chanting to "Fire Isiah!" at games.

Suicide is never the answer, y'all.

And neither is violence!

As we mentioned this weekend, the New England Patriots wouldn't confirm it, but reports stated that Tom brady had to go under the knife for a second time to clear up an infection that flared up after his initial October 6th surgery.

And doctors are still aggressively trying to fight the infection in his left knee.

However, the Patriots as an organization are upset with the whole situation. Especially because they had made it clear that they wanted his surgery done by the doctors they carefully chose in Boston.

Sources report that Brady decided not to listen to them, and chose to have surgery in California by a doctor his family and girlfriend preferred, and now look at the problems he's having.

By now Brady should have been back in new England, but no new schedule has been made for his return.

A close inside source says, "Tom is looking at months, not weeks, to fix this."

Ouch.

Brady will need to stay in Los Angeles as he's in a six-week course of intravenously administered antibiotics and still needs to have follow-up exams.

However, if the infection isn't put under control soon, then the tendon graft used to replace his ligament could become compromised. And if that happens, Brady might have to undergo yet another surgery.

Things aren't looking good for Tom Tom!

The first family of soccer will be calling the northern Italian city of Milan home for the first few months of 2009.

We're sad to see them leave!

The L.A. Galaxy's season is coming to an end this weekend and daddy David Beckham has signed on to play just a few months for international soccer giants AC Milan.

Don't worry. It's only temporary!!

Becks will be heading back to sunny LA for the start of the Galaxy's season in April.

Daddy Davis is apparently dying to play for the England national team again and feels like this move will signal to the coach (who's an Italian) just how serious he is about that.

Instead of fun and sun in the off season, Becks will be doing drills and honing his soccer skills with some of the best players in the world!

Reports assume that Vicky Becks is cool with the move.

Milan is one of the fashion capitals of the world!

She'll surely be able to continue on with working on her fashion line and all that other fashiony stuff she's into.

But, the three adorable Becks boys are in school and seem so well adjusted here in Lalaland.

Will they pull them out of school for a few months to hang in Italy?

Z-lister Jesse Metcalfe's ex-girlfriend, Nadine Coyle, has hit the London scene (including a party with her bandmates) in the arms of New York Giants cornerback. Jason Bell.

The two reportedly met in Los Angeles recently, where the singer lives.

A source close to the Girls Aloud-er said, "It's a bit early to call him her boyfriend but the fact she's introduced him to her best friends shows she's keen on him."

Brit pop tarts love profesh athletes (i.e. Posh nabbed David, Cheryl Cole and her pro-soccer man, Ashley).

We don't blame them!
