Jason Priestley Returns To TV!

jason priestley returns to tv in new comedy series

On behalf of the countless fans of the original Beverly Hills 90210, we cordially welcome you back to TV, Mr. Priestley!

Last we heard from Jason P back in October, he was directing the Hallmark TV movie Goodnight for Justice with former 90210 alum Luke Perry starring/executive producing the project.

Tonight, Jason Priestley returns to TV with his new show Call Me Fitz, which is a comedy series that Jason has described in the following way:

"[It's] a lot of fun. It's booze, blow, it's perfect. It's Charlie Sheen on a Wednesday."

When we first heard about Fitz a while back, we were admittedly kinda bitter that he bailed on the new 90210 for this…but at least he's working again. Maybe the show will surpass our expectations!

For all the 90210 fans out there looking for a trip down memory lane, the show premieres tonight at 9 pm on DirecTV's The 101 Network.

Are U ready to let Jason Priestley back into your life?

Martha Stewart's Presence Shrinks At Hallmark

hallmark shortens martha stewart programming block

Due to poor ratings in its debut last month, Hallmark will shorten their lifestyle-programming block from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

The network has opted to air episodes of Little House on the Prairie instead of showing Martha's programming.

Hallmark Channels CEO Bill Abbott said:

"People don't yet think of cable, or Hallmark Channel, as having daytime original programming. So, we condensed the lifestyle block, focused on fresh, topical content and cut out library product that didn't do the ratings we were hoping for and lost us momentum.

We were very aggressive and likely a bit too aggressive. But we are committed to our lifestyle programming and investment in Martha and believe we can make it work.

We made a big investment and will focus on trying to make it work eventually. We got to walk before we run. It is important to get the 'Martha' show right along with the rest of the block.

Hallmark is hoping that the holidays will bring viewers to Martha's show. That sounds about right.

Do U think Miz Stewart will last on cable?!

Paris Hilton Settles With Hallmark

Good thing they settled!

Between Paris Hilton's 7,000,000 hours of community service and Hallmark's uphill battle to boost ratings with their newly acquired Martha Stewart Show, they were both really too busy to deal with an ongoing lawsuit.

Hilton sued Hallmark in 2007 for a greeting card that ripped off Hilton's reality show The Simple Life, and featured a pun on her catchphrase "That's Hot."

No specific details on how much money Paris was awarded with this settlement, but it looks like she was fairly compensated for the trauma of being associated with the devil-like folks at Hallmark!

Sure, Paris may be associated with her sex tape and cocaine, but at least now she can sleep easy with the knowledge that she's shed herself of her Hallmark association!

Do U think Hallmark was in the wrong with their usage of Paris' Simple Life persona in their cards?

Martha Stewart Not Put Off By Shiteous Ratings!

A little old nuisance like disastrous ratings isn't going to keep Martha Stewart down!

Although her premiere on the Hallmark Channel - which marks her new partnership with the network - pulled in an audience of less than 199,000 viewers in its initial airing, all of the head honchos, including Martha herself, claim that they're not concerned - at least yet!

RBC Capital's managing director, David Bank, says:

“There is risk involved for both, but when you really think about what this is all about, it’s still a win for both companies — at least for now. Martha, whatever her ratings are, suddenly makes Hallmark more relevant. It’s no longer the ‘Little House’ rerun channel. It’s the Martha channel, and that’s a lot more valuable.”

Execs also claim that they knew it would be difficult garnering viewership toward the beginning of the deal, and Crown Media chief William Abbott explained "It’s awfully difficult to get noticed, even when you are Martha Stewart. We feel great about the show. But having said that, it’s TV — we’ve got to find an audience."

The show will now not only at 10am daily, but will repeat two more times, and be available for viewing on Stewart's website.

She explains:

“It’s very important that the program is replayed on the Internet. We’re dealing with a few challenges here — like some people don’t have cable. Compelling programming always wins out, and we are working very hard — in the magazines, on Twitter, on blogs, in advertising — to tell everybody where they can find us. I like to build. Building is interesting. Building is pioneering.”

Let's hope that all is this building doesn't collapse in on itself!

That would be one expensive fuck-up!

What do U think?? Will Martha survive these shiteous ratings??

Jennifer Love Desperate Gets The Role Of A Lifetime!

She's going to star in a Hallmark movie alongside Betty White!

Hmm, sorry. We guess we should clarify. It's the role of her lifetime, not any other decent or talented actress'.

Anyway, Jennifer Love Hewitt is slated to star in The Lost Valentine as a journalist working on the story of a woman whose hubby was declared MIA during WWII.

The woman is none other than the incomparable Miz White! What an honor…for J Love.

The flick is set to air on CBS in early 2011 (February, perhaps?) and J Love will also exec produce the flick. We have to admit, it's kind of a step down for Betty considering the last few years she's had, but in all honestly, we'd like to see her slow down a bit. We want to see her around for a good long time! A Z list movie might be just the thing to keep her feeling vital, without overworking her!

Will U be tuning in for this?

Dylan McKay Reunites With Brandon Walsh!

Brandon Walsh and Dylan McKay together again?! Swoon!

Beverly Hills, 90210 alum Luke Perry and Jason Priestley will be collaborating once again on the z-list Hallmark Movie Channel original western Goodnight For Justice!

Ooh! Doesn't that just sound so John Wayne that you want to hurl?!

The flick, produced and starring Perry, will be directed by Priestley and will center around a cowboy looking to avenge the death of his family!

Unless our beloved Shannen Doherty rolls into that mess, guns a' slinging, we're gonna skip it! But it's nice to see that they'll be working alongside each other once again - at least in some capacity!
