It took TEN YEARS but the Taru Jurug Zoo will finally get the smoking orangutan off cigs.
Tori is 15 years old but she's been smoking for a decade. Tourists would throw lit cigarettes at her and watch in stupidity awe as Tori puffed away.

Ewwwww!!!!!!
President Obama had an…interesting childhood to say to the least.
After his parents divorced when he was two, Obama's mother married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian student and the family moved to Jakarta.
That's when Obama's diet got VERY disturbing.
In his 1995 memoir, (and book on tape) Dreams from My Father, the POTUS admits to eating dog meat, snake meat, and fried grasshoppers!
Yuck!
We know this was a loooong time ago but let's keep these animals are OFF the menu!

The tigers are starving, the nearly 200 pelicans can't even unfold their wings, they're so tightly packed in their enclosure.
A giraffe even recently died with a beach ball-sized clump of plastic food wrappers in its stomach.
This is all at Indonesia's largest zoo.
The breeding is uncontrolled, there isn't enough money to take proper care of the animals, and

Puyul the 40-year-old orangutan broke his leg when he fell out of a tree.
Conservationists found him and brought him to the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Program (SOCP) and treated him.
He was put on fluids, x-rayed and even had a random air rifle pellet removed from his body.
Indonesia has lost about half of its rain forests in the last 50 years.
That means less trees and maybe that means less branches to grab and that would mean more falling monkeys.
So there's another reason to save the rain forests.
Can't wait til Puyul is up and running again!

Imagine a house cat, but with the spots of a clouded leopard, and a cute, bushy tail, almost as long as it's body.
That's the rare marbled cat.
They're almost exclusively caught by a remote camera that's motion activated.
Check out the above video to see this beautiful and elusive cat.

A filet mignon to be exact.
While in Bali, Paris Hilton and her friends were dining at a nice restaurant. They spotted a skinny stray dog hanging around the area.
Paris tweeted:
"Saw a starving stray dog on the beach of the restaurant. Made me so sad. So we ordered him a filet mignon, he loved it!"
What a lucky pup! Paris later tweeted:
"The cruel treatment of these stray dogs has upset me so much that I can't sleep. I'm researching the internet to see what I can do to help."
After that, she shared a link to an International Fund for Animal Welfare story about types of animal relief work in Bali.
She tweeted:
"Please Donate here."
C'mon people, let's save those doggies!
