The Hunger Games Made Liam Hemsworth Hungry For Fast Food

Liam castle

Liam Hemsworth admits he did not have to go through nearly as much training as his co-star Jennifer Lawrence did to prepare for her role as Katniss, but he did have to slim down to look his Hunger Games part.

While attending a New York City screening the of the film, which hits theaters on Friday, the actor told sources:

"There weren't too many stunts or fighting in this one for my character, but my character lives in District 12, which is the poorest district, and I had to lose quite a bit of weight for it."

Once on set in Kentucky, however, Liam and his co-star Josh Hutcherson were able to splurge a little bit. Being from the state himself, Josh introduced Liam to one of his favorite fast food joints — White Castle!

It turns out that greasy burgers and fries aren't the best thing to eat before playing a game of basketball (who knew?), as Liam explained:

"When we were shooting the film, actually, me and Josh went to Kentucky. He's from Kentucky. And we had a few days off from shooting and we decided to get White Castle which I'd never had before, and then we played basketball after eating the White Castle and we threw up a little bit so yeah, that was interesting."

Sounds more disgusting than interesting, but boys will be boys! Ha!

Glad you got to eat some quality new food while spending time in Kentucky, Liam!

Obama NCAA Packet

There's a lot of pressure on you now, North Carolina!

Back in 2009, Obama correctly picked North Carolina to win the NCAA Championship — and this year he has picked them again!

He has North Carolina beating Kentucky, the overall No. 1 seed, in the title game. Ohio State and Missouri are his other Final Four selections.

Do U think he's right??

Who do U have winning the whole thing??

Good luck, Obama! We'll find out soon!

Merle Haggard Hospitalized

Merle Haggard

Oh no!

Legend Merle Haggard has been hospitalized, and the worst part is that we don't know why… which means we don't know how worried we should be.

But if he's in the hospital, and it forced him to scrap a concert in Georgia at the last minute on Tuesday, then it can't be good at all.

He got sick right before this scheduled show at the MCCon City Auditorium. We're talking minutes before. We bet it was a bummer to everyone in the audience, for sure!

The other show canceled is: Columbus, Georgia on Wednesday (18Jan12). He's due on stage in Kentucky on Thursday (19Jan12), though, so we hope he's feeling better by then!

Loretta Lynn Hospitalized With Pneumonia

Oh no!

Loretta Lynn was forced to re-schedule a concert tonight in Kentucky after being hospitalized with pneumonia!

No word if it has anything to do with her recovering from a knee replacement surgery last month, but according to the Paramount Arts Center, which was hosting the country music legend, the show will take place "in the near future!"

We certainly hope so!

You're in our thoughts, gurl!

Stay strong, and get well soon!

Muhammad Ali Suing Married Couple Who Sold Him His Kentucky Mansion

Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ali is gearing up to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee in a court room soon.

The former heavyweight champion of the world is suing a married couple for selling him a defective mansion in 2006!

Upon moving into their Louisville, Kentucky home, the boxer and his wife Yolanda discovered an array of damages including a leaky roof, leaky chimney, mold, and structurally defective decking.

The Ali's are suing for unspecified damages because they believe the sellers KNEW the problems existed and purposely deceived them!

Conning one of the greatest fighters of all time? We admit that takes some ballz, but it is still NOT COOL!

If these allegations are true, we hope Muhammad Ali and his wife get the compensation they deserve.

America's Most Sedentary City IS…

Sedentary city

Lexington, Kentucky!

And remember, that's not a good thing either.

Men's Health Magazine found Lexington as the least active city in the United States after studying data including how often people exercised, the percentage of households that watch more than 15 hours of cable a week, and households that buy more than 11 video games a year.

The fitness publication also took advantage of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's rate of deaths from deep-vein thrombosis — a condition linked to staying in a seated position for a long time — to come to its conclusion.

Indianapolis; Jackson, Mississippi; Charleston, West Virginia; and Oklahoma City made up the rest of America's least sedentary cities.

Seattle, however, was named America's MOST ACTIVE city, which is definitely something to take pride in. We wish we could say the same for these other lazy locales.

C'mon guys! Get up and move!
