Mike Shinoda performed Looking for an Answer, which you can watch (above), during the concert and left barely a dry eye in the house as the group honored Bennington's memory.

Other artists were in the building, too — including Blink-182, Machine Gun Kelly, System of a Down, and No Doubt — but Shinoda and Linkin Park stole the show with their powerful tribute and lasting legacy.

This is still so heartbreaking.

Last month, Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds both passed away within a day of each other. And now, they are finally being laid to rest.

On Wednesday, a family source told Entertainment Tonight that the Star Wars icon had been cremated, and her private memorial will be held on Thursday.

The insider added that the following day, the Singin' In The Rain star will be buried in Los Angeles, with some of her daughter's ashes.

And, the confidante confessed there will also be a public ceremony slated for a few months in the future. The source spilled that stars like Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, and Paul Simon — who is Carrie's ex-husband — will be invited.

Plus, TMZ is explaining why the famous family members are being laid to rest differently.

The outlet is reporting that Ms. Fisher had expressed in her will that she wanted to be cremated, while Debbie made it explicitly clear that she did not want to undergo that same process.

Instead, Ms. Reynolds had requested her body be buried.

TMZ clarified that her daughter's ashes will actually be put in a coffin that will be buried next to Debbie's at Burbank's Forest Lawn.

Rest in peace, Debbie and Carrie.

This sh*t has got to stop.

It hasn't even been two full weeks since Donald Trump was elected president, and we've already seen a sickening spike in the bigoted behavior of some of his voters.

On Friday, an unknown Trump supporter defaced a memorial park in honor of late Beastie Boys rapper Adam Yauch with swastika graffiti.

This is so moving.

One year ago last night, the entire world was rocked by the horrific and senseless terror attacks on Paris that left 89 people dead, including at the Bataclan theater during a performance by the Eagles of Death Metal.

Now, exactly one year later, the theater has reopened, with Sting delivering an incredible and memorable performance and a poignant message to those in attendance to commemorate those lives lost in the attacks.

It's a very powerful video (above), emotional to watch and think back to where we all were one year ago.

Our thoughts continue to be with all those affected, for we know though time may diminish the pain of loss, it never entirely subsides.

Filed under: Tech TalkFacebookMark ZuckerbergScary!Viral: News

As post-election political rantings are taking over social media, Facebook is apparently trying to do population control.

A glitch on the social media site triggered memorial alerts at the top of many users' pages on Friday — including that of CEO Mark Zuckerberg!

The notices began to appear at around 3:45 p.m. EST and came complete with some heavy wording, for instance:

"Remembering Mark Zuckerberg. We hope people who love Mark will find comfort in the things others share to remember and celebrate his life. Learn more about memorialized accounts and the legacy contact setting on Facebook."

Yikes!

The company hasn't explained just what caused the glitch — but after the apocalyptic week we just had, it seems like a social media rapture couldn't come at a better time.

See what the affected users had to say about the eerie anomaly (below):
