Oh no!

We hope she's okay!

Check out what happened at this Michigan State basketball game. One of the cheerleaders took a terrible fall from a forming pyramid — right on her face. So dangerous!

We wonder how she's doing, and if she'll want to continue cheerleading!

New Diabetes Test Uses Tears (Not Blood) To Measure Glucose Levels

Tears instead of blood

This should be a relief to diabetes patients tired of pricking their finger up to 10 times a day for blood sugar tests.

University of Michigan scientists have developed a sensor that detects diluted levels of sugar in tears!

So far they've only tested rabbits, but researchers were able to discover the glucose level in tears correlated with the rabbits' blood sugar levels.

Similarly, a biomedical engineer at Arizona State University has developed a device to monitor tear glucose levels by pressing it into the white of your eye for 5 seconds.

Now instead of forcing blood out of their fingers, diabetes patients can either force themselves to cry or force an object into their eyeball. Much better! Ha!

In all seriousness, it sounds like this will eventually be a much more convenient way for diabetics to check blood sugar levels, so we hope it works out!

A Sick Katy Perry Has To Cancel Concert

Katy Perry sik

Aww! Feel better, gurl!

Katy Perry was forced to cancel a concert in Michigan on Sunday thanks to an upper respiratory tract infection.

She'd been sick all last week, but still managed to perform at several shows in Louisiana and Kentucky. Unfortunately for her Michigan fans, her body caught up to her busy schedule and needed a day of bed rest.

The patriotic singer tweeted on the anniversary of 9/11:

"Sick in bed and watching the memorials today. Taking time to remember all the lost & all the heroes. GodBlessAmerica."

The Michigan show has been rescheduled for December 1st, while Katy is resting up today for another show on Tuesday in Ohio. Let's hope 48 hours is enough for a full recovery!

Fran Drescher isn't just HIGHlarious on her TV shows The Nanny and Happily Divorced, she's also pretty smart in person! So smart that she's become a new FitPerez health correspondent!

We're so excited to welcome Fran aboard and U should be too because she'll be sharing her passion for living a healthy lifestyle every week by answering YOUR questions!

This week, Perezcious reader Chrissy from Michigan needed some help shopping for healthy food and asked:

Hi Fran!

What should I be eating to be healthy? When I go shopping, I get so confused as to what to get! Please help!

According to Fran:

Chrissy, three words: organic, organic, organic! (Okay, maybe it’s just one, but you get the point!) We have to recognize that what we put IN our bodies is just as, if not as important as what we put on them!

I say try to cut back on animal protein and dairy products. Also, it’s probably no shock that processed and chemical soaked foods are not good for our systems. So go organic, go whole grains, and go natural! And now, go grocery shopping for your organic goodies. Your body will thank you!

Jason Segel Smoking

For anybody out there still wondering…

Smoking = Gross!

Jason Segel casually took a few puffs from his nicotine sticks while taking a day off on Monday from filming his latest flick Five-Year Engagement in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

We love Jason's work, but smoking is such a disgusting habit. Not only is it a major turnoff, but it's deadly!

We'd hate to lose such a talented young man to the dangerous side effects of smoking!
