Frigg'n ridiculous!

Thanks to the bureaucratic bitches that run St. Charles Missouri the Meyers family might have to find a new home for their 15lb pet porker.

Juliani piggy Pepper is in training to help Austistic children with dog allergies as a touch therapy pet, since he is hypoallergenic, and my city government wants to kick him out.

Kerrie and David Meyers say they didn't know the anit-piggy rules when they got Pepper and before the children got attached.

Pepper is litter box-trained, won't exceed 20 pounds, and she's hypoallergenic (their two children are are allergic to cats and dogs)!!! We don't see why the family shouldn't be allowed to keep this seemingly perfect pet.

Fight the system! Every kid deserves a pet.

All she wants to do is save some horses!

Singer, songwriter, and sweet heart, Sheryl Crow is donating part of the profits from an upcoming concert in Wyoming to a wild horse protection group that is suing the government to try to stop a big mustang roundup in Nevada.

The Colorado-based Cloud Foundation will get a share of the gate from her show with Kid Rock (he's still alive?) at Cheyenne Frontier Days on July 22.

The Grammy Award winner who grew up in Missouri says she shares the foundation's dedication to the preservation of wild horses on public lands.

THESE PEOPLE SHOULDN'T HAVE PETS OR CHILDREN!

A four-month-old boy has lost SEVEN FINGERS after his parents' pet ferret gnawed them off while he was home alone.

Idiots Ryan and Carrie Waldo were charged today in Jackson County, Missouri with first-degree child endangerment.

Waldos told police they were asleep when the ferret attack occurred on January 10 in their home

The couple said they awoke to find the boy screaming and bloody.

HOWEVER, investigators obtained cells phone records to determine that the Waldos were exchanging text messages from various locations at the time of the ferret attack, when they had said they were at home.

The poor poor infant was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital in critical condition, where seven fingers were amputated because they had been chewed down to the knuckles.

Thankfully heir infant son and a sibling have been removed from the parents' custody while the case proceeds.

Be careful Camilla!

According to animal health experts equine herpes (a highly contagious infection among horses that can be fatal) may spread when stressed out show horses come together for competitions.

That appears to have helped fuel the current equine herpes outbreak, which has killed at least 12 horses and sickened 72 others in 10 states so far. These states include Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

Philip Johnson, a professor of equine internal medicine at the University of Missouri's College of Veterinary Medicine stated:

"Most adult horses are infected with the virus."

GROSS! The prof went on to say:

"Like most herpes viruses — human and animal — infection leads to a life-long association between the virus and the host. In most healthy horses most of the time, the host's immune system prevents the virus from going active and being especially contagious."

Still gross.

Someone deserves a peanut!

Elephants from the Piccadilly Circus got in their community service hours in Joplin Missouri over the weekend weekend.

The city has be devastated by tornados and the circus discovered had nowhere to preform.

Instead of moving on to the next town the elephants decided (we assume it was the generous elephant's decision) to help helped residents clear some of the tornado debris.

Some genius thought owning a 300 lb chimpanzee and keeping him out back with a rope tied around his waist was a asume idea.

There's a new hero in town.

Research shows a genetic mutation found in Tibetan terriers is also found in a neurological disorder related to Parkinson’s disease.

University of Missouri hopes this discovery could lead to new therapies for human suffering from the debilitating disease.

"Dogs and people suffer from the same diseases, and it's much easier to discover gene issues in dogs because of the unique genetics of pure-bred dogs,"

said a professor in the University of Michigan’s Department of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery.

"Because we have a medical school and veterinary school near each other, we can find the genes in the dog and then find out if they cause a similar disease in people."

We are excited to hear updates the doctors Tibetan terriers progress.
