George Washington Chicken Nugget Sells For $8,100 On eBay

Washington Nugget

…why?

Because, apparently, people would rather bid up to $8,100 on a frozen piece of fast food instead of using that money to do ANYTHING other than waste it on a frozen piece of fast food.

As silly as it is, at least the money earned from a chicken nugget that looks kinda, sorta like George Washington (if you look at it from the right angle, in the right light) went to a good cause.

The Penn State football team played against Nebraska yesterday afternoon - the first game since legendary coach Joe Paterno was fired when it was revealed that he was aware of the HOriffic sexual abuse dozens of children were subject to under former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky and didn't do anything - and although both teams huddled together in a moment of silence for the victims before playing, and an emotional crowd sang the school song, they ultimately lost 14-17.

New coach Tom Bradley was quoted saying at the game's end:

"It was an unprecedented situation in the history of college football."

Well, it certainly was.

We wish we could be more sympathetic, but as of now all of ours - along with our prayers - are going to all the young people who's lives were changed forever by not only the vile actions of a predator, but by everyone who stood by and said nothing while it was going on.
