A man cut open a dead porcupine only to find a baby porcupine inside! He saved its life!

This is definitely a case of right place, right time.

Jared Buzzell, a Maine native, was apparently searching for wild mushrooms one day when he saw a porcupine get hit by a car.

He had heard that a valuable mineral used in Chinese medicine, a bezoar, could be in the porcupine's stomach.

So he cut open the dead animal but didn't find a bezoar inside… he found a

Newborn Baby Mole Rat Is SUPER Adorbz! Yes, Really!

A newborn baby mole rat is super adorbz!!

Peoria Zoo in Illinois has welcomed its first surviving second generation Giant Zambian Mole-rat pup!

The little cutie was born back on June 22nd and has been growing rapidly.

The mole ratty has the most adorbz front teeth sticking out of his mouth!

It's so cute! But they're also functional, they are used for excavating their burrows by biting away the soil.

The Peoria Zoo is actually the first zoo in the U.S. to exhibit Giant Zambian Mole-rats.

They've been working to find a technique to ensure breeding success in the species, since they're not that easy to get to breed.

This little pup's mama was the first offspring to ever survive being born at the Peoria Zoo.

So glad this little cutie survived!!

Washington, D.C.'s National Zoo is now celebrating the birth of two rare Sumatran tiger cubs!

The zoo's great cats curator said:

"All I can do is smile. The team has realized our goal of producing critically endangered tiger cubs."

So AH-mazing they're doing their part to help save an endangered species!

Sadly, the cutie little cubs won't be on exhibit until later this year.

So if you're jonesing for some tiger cub action… there's footage!!

Minnesota Zoo's First Baby Tapir Born In 20 Years!

The Minnesota Zoo should be poppin' bubbly to celebrate the birth of their Malayan Tapir calf!

The little baby is the first cutie tapir born there in 20 years!!

The newborn female was born at 9:15pm on July 20th after a crazy 419-day gestation.

That means her mama was preggers for over a year!! Must be extra nice to have her baby after waiting so long.

Bertie, the mama, and her new baby are both off exhibit together, bonding as a family.

The Malayan Tapir is actually one of the most endangered animals in all of Southeast Asia! That's saying a lot!

So it's extra ahmayzing this adorbz little baby was born into this wonderful world we all live in. Congrats!!

Check out the video (above) to see the impossicute baby, with her beautiful stripes and spots, hanging out with her mama.

Mama Cat Takes Care Of Newborn Kittens AND Ducklings!

That's one nurturing mama!!

This mama cat is such a good mama that she doesn't just wanna take care of her new kittens…

She wants to take care of fuzzy ducklings too!!

It's just so stinkin' cute we can hardly handle it!

There's just a mound of baby kittens who haven't even opened their eyes yet, and then the little ducklings just pile on top of them!

We wanna shrink down and jump into that pile!

That would be the best thing ever! Someone invent a shrink ray and send us one!

We must become one with the cuteness pile!

Check out the video (above) to see an adorbzable kitty mama taking care of her kittens and ducklings!

Baby Rhino Plays In Mud Puddles!!

Rhino

OMG! That little guy is so crazy cute, we don't know what to do!

At Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, Jamie, an Indian Rhinoceros, gave birth to a male calf named Jiyu.

His name means compassionate friend, and that's just too sweet!

The little baby and his mama are spending time "off exhibit," which means they're away from the public, bonding as a family in private.

There was a lot of heavy rain recently, so the two-week old calf gets to splash around in mud puddles!!

This little baybay is extra special, as it's estimated that there are under 3,000 Indian Rhinos left in the entire world.

So hopefully he grows up big and strong, and can start pumping out rhinos of his own!

But don't grow up too quick just to get to breeding. You're young, enjoy the mud puddles while you've still got them.
