Orange Is The New Black's Taryn Manning Is Suing New York City For $10 Million After Wrongful Arrest!

Taryn is not happy the NYPD locked her up in 2014!

Taryn Manning is not happy with the NYPD after they arrested her back in 2014, and now she's taking legal action!

For those who may not remember, that November cops arrested the Orange is the New Black cast member for violating a restraining order after allegedly making criminal threats towards former friend Jeanine Heller.

The 37-year-old's ex-pal claimed that the actress had sent her a message that said:

"I will kill you, bitch"

However, at the time the Netflix star and her attorney insisted that the accusations were false, and that Jeanine was actually just stalking the celeb, like she had been busted for in the past.

They also say that they told this story to the police, but officers still put the blonde in handcuffs and kept her in a holding cell for three and a half hours!

So now, the Crossroads alum is suing NYC for $10 million false arrest and imprisonment! And even though the arrest was ultimately voided, Taryn is hoping to get compensated for damages and legal fees after the whole ordeal.

The video did NOT show a bomber or radicalist in the city itself. But the clip did include video of French President François Hollande speaking after last week's tragic Paris attacks.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Public Information Stephen Davis acknowledges that this appears to be a threat towards the Big Apple, saying in a statement:

"While some of the video footage is not new, the video reaffirms the message that New York City remains a top terrorist target."

He made it clear that the police are treating the matter incredibly seriously, even though there is no word of any immediate threat, continuing:
