The Warsaw Zoo is celebrating the newest addition to the anteater fam as he is the fourth little one to come from the zoo's mating pair.

Giant anteaters are born blind so they get to ride on mama's back. This not only provides easy and fun transportation, but also excellent camouflage.

But, this kiddie won't be a mama's boy for long. After 10 months, giant anteaters are fully independent.

Better make it last, Mom! They grow up FAST!

A charming cutie has been abandoned by her mother but that's not stopping her from having fun!

An orphaned cheetah cub has become a charming Annie-type celebrity at the Lodz Zoo in Poland.

After living in an incubator for a month, the unnamed babe is a healthy eight pounds and full of exuberant spirit!

A baby pygmy hippo cutie is squirming around with glee at Zoo Wroclaw in Poland

She is the third calf for mama Elpunia and papa Carlos, and the babe is sticking extra close to mama.

But this fearless tiny tot took a bath on her first day of life!

There are fewer than 3000 pygmy hippos in the wild so this courage is definitely need for the species!

This poor little puppy was hit by a train in Poland. This unlucky dog's life was changed thanks to the kindness of a local animal shelter and vet.

Take that Octomom!

Seventeen whimpering Great Dane puppies born by Cesarean section are keeping their mother, another dog and their breeder constantly busy trying to feed the unusually large litter.

The eight male and nine female pedigree puppies were born Monday at a veterinary clinic after their breeder decided to spare the mother, 4-year-old Hania, a long labor.

They are Hania's very first litter, her breeder said Thursday.

Hania, looking tired, her puppies and another female Great Dane (a doggie wet nurse) occupy most of the ground floor of her owners house in a Warsaw suburb.

The tiny pups nursed and slept by their mother on Thursday.

It appears everyone is happy and suuuuper cute

Yay!

This dopey deer got itself stranded in 200 yards off shore in the Baltic Sea off the coast of Poland, but luckily firemen out there are prepared for this kind of thing.

The firemen took a boat and a flashlight out to sea after nightfall to find the floating on a runaway piece of ice.

The local Mayor said deer do this quite often after getting scared by dogs and jumping onto the ice.

Hopefully this deer learned its lesson.
