He broke up with his baby momma over the summer, but there are claims that recent heart troubles have given John Edwards a new out look on life.

The disgraced politician reportedly spent the holidays with his former mistress, Rielle Hunter, and their 3-year-old love child. A source close to the couple confrims that the couple is back on, AND possibly getting married. According to the source,

"John believed he was facing death, and that’s why he suddenly proposed to Rielle. He told her, ‘life is too short. Let’s get married right away.'"

How sweet! Sounds like he's had a real change of heart, unless…. John could be motivated by something other than love! (Odd for a politician, right?)

Raoul Felder, a New York divorce attorney says getting Hunter to marry him could fix most his problems… the legal ones, anyway. He says that

"If John Edwards could convince Rielle Hunter to marry him, it would be a masterstroke."

You see, if the couple are married, Rielle would be able to exempt herself from testifying in the ongoing case against her new husband when he goes to trail for misusing $1million in campaign funds to cover up his affair and the birth of their daughter.

Without her testimony the prosecution will be missing a key wittiness, which would for sure help John avoid jail time!

Even though Britney won't have to appear in court, her mother Lynne Spears has been ordered by a judge to testify in the libel and defamation lawsuit that Sam Lufti filed against Britney and her parents.

To refresh your memory, Britney's former manager, Lufti, is suing the Spears family for defamation, libel, and slander after Lynne wrote the book Through the Storm, which discussed his role in Britney's life before her public meltdown in 2008.

Like we said, due to her conservatorship, the judge has shot down Lufti's requests to get Britney to appear in court.

Michael Jackson's oldest son Prince Jackson recently met with Deputy District attorney David Walgren to discuss the possibility of him being called to testify in the Conrad Murray trial.

A family insider said the meeting was held at Katherine Jackson's Calabasas residence , adding:

Michael Jackson's oldest kids Prince and Paris Jackson have expressed interest that they would like to testify in the Dr. Conrad Murray manslaughter trial.

Murray, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of 2009 death of Michael Jackson, is currently on trial over the excessive amount of propofol he allegedly administered to the singer.

A Jackson family insider says:

"Katherine is resisting the move, because she knows how traumatic it would be for them, but both Prince Michael and Paris have said they want to tell the jury what they saw on the day their father died. Both LaToya and Katherine agree, however, that Blanket should not testify as he is too young.

Prince and Paris are determined to take the stand, though. Ultimately, I don't believe Katherine will deny them that chance, even though she doesn't want them to and has told them so. The kids have said they don't want their father's legacy to be tarnished by the trial and they believe their evidence will help convict Doctor Murray.

LaToya has said it would be good for the children to, 'Get what is inside them, out of them.' She feels it is a way for them to release the hurt. Above all though, she believes her brother was murdered and what Prince Michael and Paris could tell the jury, would inevitably help convict the doctor."

We're not sure if this is the best idea. The children are still fairly young and it could be heartbreaking for them to have to endure the testimonies that will go on during that trial.

This might devastate them even more.
