Well, that dream can become a reality!

No puppy is immediately going to love the water, but there are ways to slowly introduce your canine to the water!

And then possibly you may get your wish on having a swimming buddy who's a dog!

A former gymnast from the University of Illinois at Chicago was convicted of animal cruelty for pouring boiling water on his dog!

That's horrible!!

Kyle Voissem was just found guilty of animal cruelty and ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

He was apparently boiling water for mac and cheese when his dog peed on the floor of his apartment.

While out for a bike ride in Adelaide, Australia, Harley Johnstone spotted a cute Koala.

So he decided to stop his bike and go check out the little guy.

When it didn't run away immediately he thought it might be pretty thirsty, cause it was so hot out.

So he brought over his water bottle to the little guy.

He then started dripping water out in the Koala's mouth… and the cute critter actually started drinking it!!

He looks like he's just drinking it one drop at a time, but he does keep coming back for more.

Such a little CUTIE pie!!

Anderson Cooper will do anything to get a story.

Including fall off jet skis and going temporarily blind!!

Anderson recently went scuba diving in the Nile!!

Sounds like it'd be so beautiful and so much fun!

Oh yeah, did we mention that it's full of man-eating Nile crocodiles?!

He literally was swimming through murky water, the only light coming from their cameras.

Then in the distance… what is that??

A CROC!!

We guess sometimes you just gotta venture outside your comfort zone.

And we guess that means if you're an elephant seal, you leave the water and head into the city!

At the beach resort town of Balneario Camboriu in Southern Brazil, a huge seal waddled into the street.

It was being safe at least, because it crossed at the crosswalk! Ha!

The giant sea mammal, who weighed over half a ton, held up traffic for over an hour as police and rescuers made sure to keep splashing water on the beast.

Luckily, the seal wasn't injured and no one got close enough to be hurt by it, and it eventually made its way back to the water.

A four-year-old rabbit, diagnosed with arthritis, has found a new way to help alleviate its pain.

Swimming!

With the help of a life vest, of course!

We've heard of the doggy paddle, but this is the first time we've seen the bunny paddle!

And we dig it!
