Al Pacino Says He Doesn't Live With His New Baby Son, But The 1-Year-Old Texts Him Sometimes! HUH?!

Al Pacino doesn’t live with his baby son, but he does communicate with him from time to time! Via text message!

And yes, this would be his 1-year-old (16-month-old, to be exact) Roman Alfallah Pacino. That’s the baby boy that the legendary 84-year-old actor had with ex Noor Alfallah in the middle of last year before the couple eventually split up for good. And now, co-parenting sounds like it’s going… uh, well, it’s going! That’s for sure!

The legendary actor has been out on a book tour recently to promote his autobiography Sonny Boy, and with it, he’s been opening up about what it’s like to be SUCH an old dad! And the verdict? Well, he certainly loves texting his infant son!

*Record Scratch*

Wait, what?! TEXTING his INFANT son?? Did we read that right?!

Speaking to BBC News about his life as a much older dad, Pacino began by offering up a very sweet comment on seeing the little boy grow up:

“You know, I have this little person. Everything he does is interesting to me. So we talk. I play the harmonica with him and we have made this kind of contact. So it’s fun.”

Awww!

And then he dropped possibly the most confusing comment we’ve ever heard about how he and Roman supposedly communicate:

“He does text me from time to time.”

But… like… HOW?! Again, this kid is 16 months old! We are fascinated to think that the kid is already texting his 84-year-old dad! What do the texts even say?! Do they just use emojis back and forth??

BTW, Al is looking at the bigger picture when it comes to Roman, too. The octogenarian explained that he really hopes to be around for many of Roman’s major life moments:

“Well now I want to be around for this child. Of course I do. But things happen. I hope I am. I hope I stay healthy and he knows who his dad is.”

And in a second interview with the New York Times, Al added that he hopes Roman will one day watch his 2011 comedy film Jack and Jill in order to grasp the roles the infant’s father has played in life! You know, the Adam Sandler movie in which Pacino played himself and “acted” in a Dunkin Donuts in-movie ad spoof! Al explained the reasoning behind wanting Roman to watch that flick when he’s old enough:

“I think he should start off with Adam Sandler’s. I think that’s funny. It came at a time in my life that I needed it, because it was after I found out I had no more money. My accountant was in prison, and I needed something quickly. So I took this. There’s this thing I do in that film: They got me doing a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial. You know how many people think I actually made that commercial? I mean it’s just so unfair.”

Uh, okay, then. Never change, Al! LOLz!

Honestly, tho, we just want to know more about the texting. What does the baby text?! How does the baby text?? We need to know it all!! How about U?!
