The Astronomer HR executive who got caught in an intimate embrace with her married boss at a Coldplay concert over the summer is spilling tea about that night, specifically what happened with her own hubby afterward!
Kristin Cabot spoke for the first time about the viral kiss cam moment in a new interview with The Times on Thursday. Perezcious readers know she and Andy Byron, the now-former CEO of Astronomer, were seen with their arms wrapped around each other on the jumbotron during a Coldplay show in Massachusetts in July. Once the pair saw themselves on the screen, they quickly ducked and hid their faces. Their over-the-top reaction turned out to be a huge mistake because the eyebrow-raising move led frontman Chris Martin to joke that they’re either “having an affair or they’re just very shy.” Well, people discovered the kiss cam couple were Kristin and Andy… married co-workers at Astronomer! So, Chris was right! Or was he?

According to Kristin, they were both separated from their spouses, and that was the first time they were physically affectionate with each other. Talk about insane back luck if that’s true!
However, the incident still caused Kristin to panic not only because Andy is her boss, but also because her estranged husband, Andrew Cabot, was at the same show. Awkward! She said:
“My immediate reaction was, ‘Holy s**t, Andrew’s here.’ We were in the middle of an incredibly — and amazingly — amicable separation. I was worried I would embarrass him. He’s an amazing guy and does not deserve that. Then a beat later my mind turns to, ‘Oh God, Andy’s my effing boss,’ this is a bad look. Boston’s not a big town. And while it wasn’t an Astronomer event or anything, there could have been investors or other staff there.”
Following the incident, Andy and Kristin immediately left Gillette Stadium and got a taxi back to their cars. They agreed to get ahead of the situation and send a joint email to Astronomer’s board of directors just in case. Kristin continued:
“It was pretty silent. All I could think about was ‘Andrew is going to kill me’ and ‘what do we do about our jobs?’”
Well, Andrew was not pissed! At least he did not make it seem that way when he texted her about the situation for the first time! At around 4:00 a.m., Andrew reached out to Kristin and sent a screenshot of a video online with the message:
“I think you should know this is out there.”
The guy was looking out for her! And it doesn’t sound like he was pissed or rude — just keeping her informed! Wow!
Of course, you know that video was posted by concertgoer Grace Springer on her TikTok account, which is now private. It went instantly viral, and internet sleuths soon began to dig for Kristin and Andy’s identities. They figured it out, and you likely remember what happened next. The two ended up leaving their jobs at Astronomer. Kristin filed for divorce from Andrew. Andy’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, seemed over their relationship as she removed “Byron” from her last name on Facebook. However, they may be back together now. If that is the case, nothing will happen between Kristin and Andy again… We hope.
