Just like a good manager mother should!
Lindsay Lohan, who is currently finishing her hundredth origami crane at the Betty Ford Center, is reportedly doing very well in rehab and is actually “happy.” We know this, because her mother, Dina Lohan, won’t stop talking to the press about her!
This morning, she once again took to the media to talk about Lindsay’s progress. She told sources:
“Lindsay is so happy, and I’m so proud of her. They’re wonderful at Betty Ford, it’s a really good place, it’s just amazing. She could walk out tomorrow if she wanted, but she doesn’t want to. We have a great doctor, and great people helping her. It’s a great facility. It’s not one of those ‘happy Hollywood’ places. She didn’t have to go there. She could have opted for a less serious place, but we knew that she had to go to this place, because they take [addiction issues] so seriously.”
Let’s just really hope she is truly taking it as seriously as they are. What of that report that she tried to “escape” from the clinic? Eh, Dina laughed that whole story off, claiming that Lindsay really wanted a soda, all she’d have to do was walk across the hall to the machine that is outside her room.
But what Dina isn’t laughing off is the on-going feud she has with her ex-hubby, Michael Lohan and the “smear campaign” he has going against her with his on-again lady friend, Kate Major. Dina is furious with Michael for upsetting Lindsay with his shenanigans and claims he has made up stories to the press, including one recent report that Dina wants to do a reality show about Lindsay in rehab. In response to his actions, Dina says:
├óΓé¼┼ôWhen someone├óΓé¼Γäós in [rehab], you don├óΓé¼Γäót want to upset them. She├óΓé¼Γäós getting help. She knows a little bit of what├óΓé¼Γäós out there…I├óΓé¼Γäóm just scared that when she comes out she├óΓé¼Γäóll have to deal with this crazy person…I am not doing a reality show about her rehab. He can├óΓé¼Γäót handle that he can├óΓé¼Γäót visit her, so he├óΓé¼Γäós saying this stuff. He├óΓé¼Γäós the one who wanted to do a reality show. Everything├óΓé¼Γäós a projection with him. He needs to stop. He wants to destroy Lindsay├óΓé¼Γäós career and make me broke. He├óΓé¼Γäós already threatened [Lindsay├óΓé¼Γäós lawyers] Shawn Chapman Holley and Stephanie Ovadia, and [manager] Lou Taylor. He├óΓé¼Γäós dangerous. He├óΓé¼Γäós crazy. He wants my attention. He├óΓé¼Γäós planting stories and saying these things so that the judge will see them in the tabloids and make judgments. It├óΓé¼Γäós a smear campaign, and we need help. He├óΓé¼Γäós calculating.├óΓé¼┬¥
There’s a lot of shady dealings going on in Team Lohan, probably more than any of us will ever know. Our only hope is that some how, Lindsay can break away from all of this insanity and get back to a normal career and life.
We’d hope that’s what her parents would want as well. If they do, they have a funny way of showing it.
