Can’t say we blame her but we’re sure there are more than a few disappointed fans over there who were looking forward to the escape.
Due to the devastation that Japan is still dealing with in the aftermath of the horrible earthquake and tsunami that tore through the country two weeks ago, Ke$ha and her label announced they would be canceling her upcoming performance dates in the country. However, she is slated to reschedule the concerts, once the country gets back on its feet.
Along with the announcement was this statement from Ke$ha, saying:
“My heart is with Japan right now through this disaster and these hardships. I genuinely don’t think right now would be appropriate timing for me to perform in Japan given the content and the spirit of my show, which is all about feeling exuberant, rowdy, and wild. I plan to bring my party there and to that part of the world when we are all ready to dance and Get $leazy together again. In the meantime I am going to do everything I can to help relief efforts and I encourage everyone in the world to do the same.”
As do we. There is still a lot more than needs to be done to help the poor people affected by this tragedy, so make sure you donate whatever you can to relief efforts.
As always, our thoughts are with those in Japan who have lost their homes, loves ones and lives to this horrific occurrence.
