ABC drama Grey’s Anatomy is currently in its eighth season and exec producer Shonda Rhimes is getting ready to MAJORLY stir things up once again for your favorite characters on its season finale!
We already learned Katherine Heigl‘s character, Izzie, will NOT be returning, but what about the others?!
Shonda says about preparing for the season-ender:
“It has been tremendously challenging. I’ve never started a season not knowing how it’s going to end├óΓé¼┬ªIn a weird way, it’s been oddly more creative because you don’t know where you’re going.”
The series two biggest stars, Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey, have been going through contract negotiations for next season, but nothing has been confirmed for their return.
ABC hasn’t yet renewed the show for a ninth season, but Rhimes is seemingly more concerned about the characters:
“The show will be going on next season, no matter what. I am hopeful that it goes on with all of our originals [actors] still in tact. I love them├óΓé¼┬ªWhether or not the show is going to be picked up next season is not the concern, it’s who’s coming back. I know the show is going to go on without everyone we currently have on the cast.”
Oh shiz!!!! Meredith HAS to return! And so does McDreamy!!!
What would Grey├óΓé¼Γäós Anatomy be without GREY??? Guess we’ll have to wait for the finale on May 17!
