Last year, Fox sports struck a deal with the L.A. Dodgers that baseball’s commissioner shot down.
It was a crazy 20-year, $3 billion deal that gave the Dodgers 30% of the Fox Sports channel.
Discussions have started again and a new deal has apparently been put on the table.
And it’s a BIG one.
Apparently they would share joint ownership of the English and Spanish language Fox Sports channels, and the new deal could be closer to $4 billion or more.
That’s crazy!
Even if that deal doesn’t go through, Time Warner Cable could jump in with a lucrative counter offer because they’re launching a new Southern Cali regional sports network this October.
Someone stands to make a lotta money off this!
We wanna own a baseball team!
