Regardless of the possible options he had with his recently-signed contract, we think it’s safe to say that Derek Jeter is officially done with the Yankees!
At least for the next three months!
The shortstop, who hasn’t missed a play-off game for the team since 1995, fractured his ankle during last night’s loss to the Detroit Tigers while taking a dive in the 12th inning!
And as you can see from the amount of pain he’s clearly in (above), he’s been sidelined with good reason!
OUCH!
Poor thing!
We can’t imagine he’s feeling too hot right now, given the pain he’s enduring and what it means for him professionally, so we sincerely hope that he recovers quickly and with as little difficulty as possible!
