Illegally Poached Tiger Parts Are Confiscated

tigers in the wild

How sad is this!

Over 1,000 illegally poached tiger parts in Asia have been confiscated over the past decade. Most of these parts, which are used for traditional medicines, good luck charms and decorations included skins, bones, skulls and penises.

The major trafficking route for these parts begins in India, where the tigers are and ends in China where the parts are highly desired.

There is a “Tiger Summit” set for Novemebr 21-24 in Russia, which will finalize a plan to double the number of tigers in the wild by 2022.

There are believed to be as few as 3,200 wild tigers remaining!!! OMG!

Reports say that China has been criticized for not trying to stop the sale of tiger parts.

Something has to be done in order to stop this horrible killing of tigers. We don’t want these beautiful creatures to become extinct!
