We are absolutely sick to our stomach!
Last week in the resort town of Santa Teresita, Argentina, beachgoers picked up a Franciscana dolphin from the ocean and passed it around for selfies.

The foot-long animal — which cannot survive long out of water — was eventually killed due to overheating and dehydration.
Video footage shows the dolphin dying on the ground, laying motionless.
The species — also known as La Plata dolphins — can only be found in Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil, and can only inhabit saltwater.
They are categorized as “vulnerable” on the International Union for Conservation of Nature‘s Red List of Threatened Species, and has a population of under 30,000.
Once video of the horrific incident began circulating, the Argentine Wildlife Foundation (AWF) quickly condemned the swimmers.
“This incident should serve to remind people about the need to return these dolphins to the sea if one is found outside of the water├óΓé¼┬ª It’s fundamental that people help rescue these animals because every Franciscan has value.”
Not surprisingly, people took to Twitter to vent their outrage :
