Woody Woodpecker Movie Deal In The Works

Woody Woodpecker is getting his own movie deal!
Illumination entertainment, the animation house behind Despicable Me and the upcoming Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, will be producing.
The script will be written by the guys who co-wrote Blades of Glory.
Since Woody is pretty old (71 years old to be exact) they’re hoping to modernize him and hopefully launch a franchise.
He was originally voiced by Mel Blanc, the voice of Bugs Bunny.
We wonder who could do the voice now??
We’re interested to see… guess we’ll just have to wait.
