Why Kids Need P.E. Class!

Kids Need P.E. Class!
Studies have shown that Physical Education does wonders for students, but all over the country programs are being cut do to lack of funding.
We understand why running and sports have become such a low priority. American’s need to keep up with the best and the brightest countries — and when it comes to math and science scores we are not keeping up!
Christina Villavicencio, principal of NYC’s P.S. 197 says:

“When you├óΓé¼Γäóre given a limited budget, you have to ask yourself, ├óΓé¼╦£What├óΓé¼Γäós the priority?├óΓé¼Γäó Should I hire another science teacher or a gym teacher?├óΓé¼┬¥

We gotta say, cutting PE doesn’t solve the problem, it makes it worse!
Research shows students that proticipate in PE:

“Not only does it improve circulation, increase blood flow to the brain, and raise endorphin levels, which all help to reduce stress, improve mood and attitude, and calm children, physically active students may also achieve more academically. Physically fit students are less likely to miss school, partake in risky behaviors, get pregnant, or attempt suicide, which are all associated with better outcomes in school.”

If you’re a parent, please keep us (and Michelle Obama) happy by supporting physical education in public school!
