Ashley Judd went from the foot of the Congressional steps to scoring a major role in Divergent in just a few short days!!
The film began shooting earlier this week, but somehow the Double Jeopardy star still squeezed her way into the cast at the last minute and will play Shailene Woodley‘s mama!!!
Mrz. Judd, who was recently targeted by Mitch McConnell‘s nasty meanness, must find acting in a huge blockbuster to be a sweeeeet relief compared to what she would’ve went through in a grueling Senate run!!!
She and Shailene will work alongside Kate Winslet in what is quickly turning out to be a star-studded adaptation of a superior novel!!
Divergent is set to hit theaters in March, 2014.
